This is a decent medallion if you require wood. Unfortunately, the detail and depth available is not what it would be for a polyurethane medallion. In addition, the seams between each section of wood are visible (the product is made from clamped sections of hardwood). While there were no open glue lines, the grain and tone of wood were not matched ideally.

Solid construction, good price

Item is as described. Solid maple with nicely done millwork. At $46 and change, this was the least expensive listing I found online. Most other sites were $75 or more.Now that Amazon's sold out--just 10 days after ordering--I see marketplace sellers asking $250+! Guess I timed this purchase right!

Just what I was looking for!

I was so sick of looking at 2 unfinished holes in my ceiling from putting up my pair of hanging egg chairs. I was looking forever for the perfect ceiling medallions but had trouble finding just the right amount of uniqueness. Came across these 1 day and thought they?d be perfect. Thought they?d be flimsy but they are 1/2? thick solid wood and pretty hefty. I was able to glue them to the ceiling with wood glue and then mail them in ceiling and there they will live forever.

Center Hole Too Large to be held by most lights or fans

High quality but make sure your fixture has a ceiling cap large enough to span the center hole
