A bit short, poor quality, and formaldehyde.

I'm really disappointed in the desk, and should have thought about that before purchasing one for less than $*. I was initially attracted to this desk because of the cool design, large workspace, and too-good-to-be-true price, which is the only reason why I'm giving more than one star in this review. This desk comes in several pieces. Each piece is individually wrapped in plastic and cushioned with styrofoam. It was very easy to carry the package to my apartment just by myself; it wasn't too heavy. I found the amount of plastic to be a bit ridiculous. Even the individual screws, etc. were packed in plastic. This would make returning difficult, because how would I repack all the tiny little sealed plastic bits the parts were in? Overall, the instructions could have been organized better. While the assembly itself is not that difficult, deciphering each step was a little bit difficult. There were too many things to do in one step, it was unclear what order in which those things should be done. It would have been more helpful if each step was broken down more. I had to undo and redo multiple steps (mostly, just pay attention to what side you screw the L-shaped brackets on to). Additionally, the final step requires a philips head screwdriver to complete, which is not mentioned anywhere on the product page that I could find, nor in the instructions. I thought it would be easier to complete the last step (putting the top on the legs) by doing it upside down and then flipping it up, but since the desktop is made of particle board, the small screws ripped out and ruined the bottom side. Just be careful of that as well if you decide to purchase this desk. The white antique finish and black design is really cool. It fits the aesthetic I had in mind for my work area. I also like the rounded corner, it makes it a bit more organic. The desk dimensions were accurate, though I'm finding that 28" is just a tad short for me. If you're a tall person and don't want to hunch over your desk, this might not be the best option for you. While the individual pieces are sturdy, when fully put together, the rounded corner is quite delicately attached to the rectangular pieces, so be careful if moving the entire desk after it is assembled. I was surprised to find a label on the bottom of one of the desktops regarding formaldehyde. I'm not sure if this is common in desks, but ... wow? Okay. Big turn off for this desk. I would only recommend this desk if you are of shorter stature, aren't worried about health labels, and are absolutely certain you can build it without damaging it. This desk will serve its purpose for me temporarily as I furnish a brand new apartment, but my intention is to eventually throw it out once I've found a suitable replacement. It's not even worth trying to resell, especially since it was so easily damaged during assembly. I can't be bothered trying to return this desk either, due to the complicated packaging with a million tiny little plastic bits.

Very sleek, modern design. Easy to put together. Color is just what I was looking for and the "L" shape will be beneficial in my home office. It looks great with the gray and white office chair

It fell apart and when packing it up it continued to fall apart!
