I have a previous AcuRite large color display weather station and wanted to add an additional unit. They both work from the one outside sensor, one unit is in the living room and the new color weather station in the kitchen. Both work great!

Perfect Combination of Temp/Humidity with Phone Charging

I follow the outdoor temperature/humidity to determine what to wear early in the morning as well as later in the day. Living in the humid south, also I monitor the indoor humidity (as well as the temperature) to minimize discomfort and mildew. The bright display and AcuRite accuracy in both parameters have always been a favorite (I have several AcuRite devices). Coupling those pluses with overnight inductive phone charging in my bedroom was the icing on the cake. I also purchased one for a grandson's birthday.

The size of the weather station is perfect. It sits beautifully on my kitchen table. The display is easy to read and the set up was a breeze.

Poor contrast

The contrast between the white numbers and blue/yellow background is too low and difficult to see from more than 6 feet away.

The quality of this weather station is so much better than any others we've had in the past. The set-up was incredibly simple and straightforward. The display is a high quality color screen that includes all the weather measurements that we wanted. After set-up the screen had a small icon that the instruction manual said would disappear after the unit had been in operation for two weeks to determine our weather pattern and trends. It disappeared on exactly the 14th day of operation, which gave us even more confidence that it is a quality product.

Great product

This is our third AcuRite weather station. The oldest is over ten years old and still as accurate as ever. The backlight on the newer ones are very bright but have settings to adjust the brightness based on time of day. I just wish it was able to bring us better weather :).

DON'T BUY11

Had problems with the sensor early on. Had to do a couple of hard resets. Finally, it stopped connecting, 15 days after the warranty ran out. Acurite wants $25 bucks to send a new one, half the cost of a new one. Will get costly replacing the outdoor sensor every year!! No phone customer service, only email or chat. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand!!

Hold all detail of everything you need for inside and outside temperature and tell you the weather and is that good color to and right now don’t have to plug it in.

It was too difficult to change settings and to calibrate.

I would buy this product again.
