The dowels used in the assembly were too loose which made aligning the screws to hold it all together difficult but not impossible for one person. Because they are loose, I don't really know what their purpose was. About 1/3 of them were missing anyway. So I put it together without them. The wood screw holes were also too big in some places so the screws would not tighten properly. The result nonetheless seems sturdy. I hope the bench holds up.

Box was damaged, NO instructions so I had to call the company, its cheap, had deep scratches, you get what you pay for. It will do for now but definitely gonna invest is something better

I love this bench! It’s the perfect piece for our foyer. The only disappointment is that the lid does not come back down with just a little push followed by a soft close—it requires a steady push all the way down. Minor problem and doesn’t affect its usefulness.

This bench is very short and small compared to how it appears in the picture. Make sure to pay attention to the measurements. It would be good for a kids bedroom, not a large room with high ceilings.

We've had ours for a couple years now, and it has remained sturdy even with a four year old storing all his winter coats and boots inside it!

You get what you pay for. The color is much darker than the picture and the hinge doesn’t work. Would not recommend. Spend the extra money and get something much nicer.

The metal piece inside the bench that supports the lid was broken. But other than that it is a nice solid bench.

Great little bench - fairly easy to assemble. Not as spacious on interior as I thought but that was my bad. Adorable!!!

Great bench for front entryway.

It was fairly easy to put together and seems sturdy. I like the ability to store things in the bench seat and it wasn’t too heavy to move by myself.

The bench looks very nice, but because the screw holes were misaligned (or missing in one instance), the top won’t open past the arm. I am sure it’s a hit or miss situation. Ours was a miss.
