Perfect light

I love the way you can split this light and move it in two different directions. Helps put the light exactly where you want it without having to move the whole lamp. The little stand is perfect for the iPad and you can charge it while you are using it. Live it!

Touch Sensor Stopped Working

I have bought Ott Lites since they were mail-order only. In fact, I have a portable desktop one that I bought in 2002 that STILL WORKS! This was an amazing light UNTIL THE SWITCH STOPPED WORKING. The only thing that works on it is the phone charger. I have Ott Lites all over my house. I've only had it about 2 years, used it several times a week, and now I cannot get the light portion to work. I am extremely disappointed with Ott Lite's quality.

This lamp is perfect! I have a stand up desk so I move it up and down all day long. Having this flexible lamp that I can move in any direction is perfect!! Not too mention I’m able to move it around so there’s not a glare! Highly recommend!! I’m thinking about purchasing another one for a different area in my house!

Switch Failure

I purchased from Joann's a few years ago. Very happy until light just quit working. Did not use everyday so usage was well under the guaranteed 40,000 hours. Unfortunately it is now well past warranty and return time frame. So I called Customer Support to determine if lights could be replaced. Confirmed with Customer Support Representative the light was not plugged into an extension cord and USB port was working. Suggested solution was to purchase a new power cord, which I did. The new power cord did NOT resolve the problem. So we decided to bypass the switch and the lights work.

Great source of bright, cool lighting, which is helpful for concentrating on work. The USP plug for device charging is also very helpful.

Switch fails

I have not had this lamp even two years. I bought it to replace one I had for many years. The lamp just would come on one day. I find through research that it is a common fault in the model. But I can't get any customer service, even though this lamp should still be under warranty.

I have an ott light I can't find a bulb for.

Love this lamp for puzzling and crafts. Has multiple light settings, and lots of flexibility. Also super handy that it has a usb port.

Loved it !

Loved it for almost four years and then it stopped working. It was great for my new sewing room with the daylight dual shades. I also utilized the USB port and tablet holder more often than I thought I would, especially during Covid while making face masks. I used it for all my fiber arts, even for ironing because I try to minimalize sunlight as to not fade my fabrics. I was very disappointed this week when it quit working. No electric at the USB, switch or light. Got a new exact power cord that didn't work either. Tried to replace lights but that option is not available to the consumer. (I'm not a fan of that feature.) I believe I read that they were supposed to have a life of 40,000 hours. I'm pretty sure I didn't use it that much. I have two other OttLite floor lamps and three desk lamps. They have all outperformed this model. My one floor lamp is well over ten years old. Love the OttLite products but I will not be replacing this one with the same.

It’s really great, except slow to charge devices.

Love this lamp with adjustable light arm and light “wings”. Gives light right where you need it. And the shelf for the iPad or phone is great. The addition of usb plugs is nice; however, charging is very slow. Not sure if it’s the plug or need a different cord. Pretty sure it’s the plug, so I give it a 4 to 4.5. Still like it very much.

This OttLite floor lamp is perfect for art studio!

I would most definitely recommend this light which I use in my art studio. Not only does it have a shelf/charging outlet, but light can be adjusted from warm yellows to cool whites.

Bright Light with USB !!!

Great unit! I would recommend to a friend! A little heavy, but nice unit...easy to put together. Just read the directions before you put together first. I love the three brightness levels!
