The armrest makes this chair fit into the tub wrong & more importantly it is not steady & moves when I go to transfer in & out of the tub. I've had it for a week now & it has terrified me getting in & out of the tub due to it moving. It moved this morning & had my brother not installed safety rails at the entrance of the shower I would have hit the floor hard. Replacing this bench with one very similar to my old Medline bath bench with a new very similar Graham Fields bench. Even though the cost over doubled the peace of mind and safety will be worth the increased price.

whoever measured this did not do it correctly, The side bar to the seat takes up the first square of the seat which makes it useless no room for shower. Since son tossed shipping box I am stuck with it.

Total Lifesaver
Purchased this after rupturing my Achillis tendon, couldn't walk. This shower chair is prefect for allowing you the ability to take a shower without being in danger of falling or reinjuring your foot. I continue to use it every day. Was in a splint and covered my leg with plastic, now in a boot, I can remove the boot while sitting swivel and slide across the chair. Take my shower safely and repeat the process for getting out. I highly recommend this product. Also, I adjusted the legs, so I was level.
Good but Bad
I bought this bench a few years ago and was pleased with it.....UNTIL 1 of the little snaps that hold the legs at the correct height rotted and broke, collapsing the bench. I'm a heavy man with one leg and a bad back so falling out of the shower and onto the floor (bouncing off of the toilet of course) wasn't a good thing. Be cautious and check these every few months to be safe.
