This was a great bookcase for the price. It comes fully assembled and the adjustable shelves are very easy to position. It's fairly lightweight so it's easy to move around.

One is damaged

Received the 2 Bookcases. One (1) came in damaged.

Good bookshelf

Came with one shelf slightly dented, but still perfectly usable and i'm happy with it.

Lightweight but sturdy

Well-built steel bookcase that is put together nicely. Sturdy enough to hold a lot of books but the overall weight is light so it's easy enough to move around by yourself. The clips that hold the adjustable shelving are plastic and kind of hard to adjust. Once in place they are strong enough to hold the shelves in place with weight on them. That is the only reason for 4 out of five stars.

Strong supporting shelves

Great bookshelf! We purchased this for our son who is in graduate school. He loves it and it does a great job holding all of his heavy books!

Sturdy classic

I needed some shelving for my home office and haven't been able to find anything in wood that wasn't really expensive or what I wanted. It occurred to me that my home office is just that, an office, and I remembered the Hon products when I first entered the working world in the late 80's as a facility coordinator. I moved more of these and remembered how solid and functional they were. I was very glad to see that hasn't changed. Their simplicity in design fits nicely with the style of my house and they look really at home. I bought the 5 shelf as well.

We ordered 2 of these bookcases and they are great! They hold more than most bookcases as the shelves are deeper and have good variety of heights. Each shelf will also hold a lot of weight. They also are not too "office" looking. We have them in our Member library and no one even notices they are metal. There is a small HON sign on top middle but I have a covering on that so they look more like furniture. Very pleased with this purchase!

Exactly what it needs to be. Basic steel bookcase for our cubicles. Sturdy and well constructed.

It’s metal, adjustable shelves. Nothing glamorous but it works great as a bookcase in my kid’s bedroom. I might buy another. Functional and good price.

chipped paint

I am happy with this bookcase. However, it arrived with a rather large scratch in the paint on the front of it. I tried to go online to talk to someone and request a credit for the damage but haven't had any luck.

lots of solid storage. I work from home and have many many binders and supplies. It holds them all. The bookcase arrived safe without damage and already assembled - BONUS!

Perfect

This bookcase arrived completely assembled, in perfect condition, with a ton of packaging. It's more grey than I thought it would be, which was a great surprise. Buy it. It said 1-4 weeks for delivery, but I had it the next day!

Unfortunately, these shelves arrived by UPS and both the driver and I heard loud banging noises as he put them on his cart. The two shelves were loose inside and caused damage to them. They scratched the internal sides, broke one of the brackets, and caused dings and dents outside.

Weak shelves.

The shelves sag under the weight of binders and text books. Its too much trouble to return it. Certainly not worth the money.
