This is a perfect easel for me, a beginning but serious artist. I love this!

Perfect size easel

Needed a medium/smaller easel for a corner and this easel was perfect. Made of solid wood construction, it is just perfect!

Disappointed

I use this for oil painting and drawing and whatever else i am up to at the moment that requires an easel. The biggest issue I have is that the canvases are impossible to secure due to the upper clamp (or the bottom one, I am not totally sure) twisting when it is tightened so that the clamp twists and then the canvas pops out from beneath the clamp. It's maddening to be honest. I didn't this much money on an easel to have to get a bunch of C-clamps and cut up 2x4s to secure my canvases.

I have other easels that cost less and are much better.

This is a beautiful easel especially the wood. It was easy to put together. Look forward tousing it.

No, I would not buy this product again

I was so looking forward to using this easel for years to come, however, once I started using it, I found that the mast is warped. It went together easily, which is a plus, but the warped mast throws everything off balance when you try to secure a painting. I am waiting to hear back from the company right now to see what they will do.

After reading others' reviews about how they'd wished they'd bought this first, I did just that. It was wrapped carefully and easy to put together. It's sturdy and has no defects.

Perfect easel for a smaller space

This is easel is perfect. The wood is beautiful. It's very sturdy and doesn't move very much. The small metal adjustable feet are a nice addition since I have old uneven hardwood floors in my apartment. This easel is perfect for a smaller space since it's sturdy but has a small footprint. It doesn't weigh too much so it can be moved fairly easily. Assembly was simple, I assembled it myself in about ten minutes. It was packed very well and delivered promptly. The shelf is a decent size. Overall, I'm glad I purchased this easel, I feel like it was affordable for the quality you get.

I LOVE this easel!

I just received it yesterday, shipped directly from the manufacturer! It was packed thoughtfully and well. Survived the shipper putting a big hole in the box. Set up was easy. Well made. I will be able to paint large canvases/boards. I love the brace across the back on the floor that you can put weight on if you have something heavy on your easel for counterbalance. It's solid but not so heavy that I can't move it easily. It's attractive. I look forward to decades of using it!

Floor Easel

Great easel for large canvases. Only complaint I have is although it seemed to be factory packaged well, it arrived in an unbroken box concealing a split in half wooden base board. Apparently you cant buy parts for it, so it has to be repaired somehow. Not a great testament to the renewable wood theory.

Quality Finish and Easy to Put Together

Picked this up for the value on sale when looking for an H-frame. It had some good reviews. I was surprised at how easy it was to put together. It took all of five minutes and I can move it around my space as needed. The wood finish is nice and it doesn't feel flimsy. I hope to get some good use out of this in my work.

Great easel!

This is my second purchase of this same easel! I paint a lot but have a small space so I move the easel around a lot. It's light enough to move easily. Bought the second easel to put along side the first one to hold super large canvases. I am not that handy but put the easel together by myself!

Beautiful easel

This easel was easy to put together from packaging with minimal setup. It is high quality wood and lovely. I just received so have not tested use over time but it feels very sturdy and easy to adjust

I would buy this product again

Easy to assemble. Slider feet make it easy to move and stable while painting. Easy to adjust canvas size. Looks fine in the dining room under the skylight.

Doesn't work well for panels because ridge to hold top and bottom is too deep not allowing ability to paint edges.

I needed a larger easel for my studio. Dick Blick got this delivered to me very quickly and the setup was very easy and the construction is very solid. I've been painting on fairly large canvases (48x60) and this easel is stable and I feel secure working with it.
