Very sturdy

Holds on to canvases very well and doesn't slide around even when painting with big brushes. It also can hold canvases high enough from the table to allow me to stand while painting.

Absolutely what I hoped for!

This is sturdy and stable, well designed, and easy to move around as needed in my small space. I did find the instructions for putting it together a little less than clear, and I needed a power drill because the pilot holes weren't deep enough to allow hand screwing.

Provides a safe alternative to floor easels.

Easy to set up. Works well for an alternative to a stand-up floor easel which took up floor space and became a hazard for seniors in an art studio located in a retirement community.

Can be used for up to 44 inches in height and will easily adjust to flat horizontal.

Good Easel - but American Easel is $50.00 less

I recently purchased six of these tabletop easels. They are attractive and very well made. Extremely sturdy and stable. HOWEVER - at the same time I also purchased, from Blick, the American easel Oak Tabletop Easel. The American Easel is $50.00 less than the Richeson Tabletop Easel. In my opinion it is just as good.

Versatile and well built.

Easy to put together (caveat: for my son). Great quality good features and tilt levels. I've always painted on a flat table and my neck was feeling the strain. A table easer is better all the way around.

I would highly recommend this as a great value & just aS FUN

I use the easel for watercolor and acrylic. I really like the 40 inch capacity & adjustment capability for every angle which suits watercolor. The Best brand had recently increased in price substantially and had an additional fee & a much longer lead time & lesser capacity of 36 inches. Richeson was a great value & I received in a few days. The 40 inch capacity in the horizontal position did require some weight to prevent tipping & full adjustment of the bottom ledge to its lowest point. Then when changing angle back toward vertical l felt some resistance & learned the bottom ledge must be raised higher to allow this adjustment. These minor issues were overcomable & did not impede usability.

Largest and most sturdy table top easel

I did a lot of research to find a high quality table top easel that can fit canvas up to 100 cm (approximately 40 inches) high. It was surprisingly difficult to find. This easel was the answer. The craftsmanship is flawless, and the wood and screws are all of the highest quality. The delivery was also very smooth (I’m based in Germany). I fully recommend it.

Very Stable and Solidly Built

It's my first easel and I am not disappointed. It's perfectly stable on top of my desk. The easel can be adjusted to paint standing-up or while seated. I highly recommend it.

I wish I'd bought this years ago!

Extremely sturdy, well-made wooden easel with many options for position and size of painting--- I can't work standing up, so this gives me great versatility in the size panels I'm able to work on- I paint every day, and was working on a much smaller tabletop easel- but I'm so glad I upgraded to this!

I highly recommend this table easel

This hard wood table easel is sturdy and easy to assemble and use. The price at Blick's was an exceptional value... I'm so glad the less expensive one from a local store was not available... I would still be kicking myself... Invest in a better product like this easel and it will not disappoint.

Well Made

The canvas in the photo is 11 x 14. To clarify the instructions, begin by separating the top canvas holder from the frame. Then, follow the enclosed instructions. At the end, replace the top canvas holder by sliding it into the frame with the ledge facing front. The 1 7/8" knob is then inserted from the back towards the top rail of the frame.

I would recommend this product to a friend

I am very pleased with the quality of this easel. Very solid, adjusts to every size canvas. Live in small home so needed a table easel that would work on my dining room table and not wobble or fall, and yet fold to a size that would store easily. Especially like that the bottom is adjustable so that canvas doesn't sit so low.

Richeson Tabletop Easel

This is my second Richeson Tabletop Easel. I completely wore out the first one which I have had for over ten years. The new one did arrive with one rubber foot broken off, but it was replaced by the company, and when I put it all together, it seems even sturdier and easier to level than the one I have enjoyed for a decade. It keeps even large 30" x 48" canvases securely in place as I paint, and it takes up so little space in the studio.

Nice Easel

I needed a tabletop easel that could hold a larger canvas than my former easel. This new one easily holds a 40" high canvas and feels sturdy. It appears well made. The wood was not as smoothly sanded as my previous easel, but overall I like it.

Love the table top.

I bought the table top to go with my full size easel. It was easy to assemble, sets up nicely and travels great. Now I can have both my grandsons over at the same time for painting lessons!
