Great design, light weight, excellent illumination

It is probably overpriced, but by far it is my favorite desk lamp I've found. It has good brightness, the light is diffused by its lamp length to reduce reflection and glare, it is very light-weight and easy to move around on the desk unlike clamped lamps or lamps with barbell-like bases. The neck extends high enough to position it above computer screens and also to keep any heat from the LEDs from rising into your face, unlike another LED clip-on lamp I tried with a shorter neck. The shade can be rotated forward and back about 30 deg to help direct the light where you want it and avoid computer screen reflection. There is a simplicity to it, only one brightness and color, which is fine for me because it is just right for my purposes. It does not consume many watts, about 6 to 7 when lit, and when turned off, the draw of its power adapter does not register on my watt-meter, so it appears to be less than .1 watt. It looks very nice with an elegant slimness. The extension arms can be tightened at the joints if needed. The lamp shade comes in silver and black color I believe (it seems to be marketed under different brand names, but seems to be the same product), I have one of each. It really is a nice desk lamp, I wish it were a little cheaper for the same quality, but I was willing to pay the premium because the design just seems to hit the sweet spot for a really usable, practical and attractive desk lamp. The light weight and ease of repositioning are especially appealing to me.
