Instructions were meh. They didn't show that the circular part around the base is more of a cone shape making it difficult to see what end goes into the chair. I accidentally put it on upside down. I wasn't able to loosen it to correct it. Other than this, the quality of the chair is an A+. My office uses this brand and this style. I have no doubt this chair, even with it's funny upside down base, will last a very long time. Oh, it also goes up really high.
poor design
seems solid. The handle that lowers the chair is right where your leg goes causing the chair to sink on you nearly trapping your leg. The employee I got it for traded with someone for an older chair. You will have to change how you sit to use it. I wont buy another one.
I love that the arms slide closer to the body. Most chairs do not have this feature. The lumbar area does not move, so this is inconvenient in order to meet my body needs. Still deciding on whether I keep the chair or not because of this lack of feature.

It's just ok. It's not quite as tall as it needs to be for my application....my previous chair was perfect for that, and I actually had to move the cylinder from that chair to this one to make it work. That's not really why I gave it only 3 stars though. The reason for that is that it's just not comfortable at all. The seat cushion is more like a board. It's hard. I'm going to have to buy a cushion to put in it just to have some amount of comfort. On the up side, the way the foot ring secures to the cylinder is absolutely perfect....that was my biggest gripe with my previous chair and this one completely solves that problem....it doesn't slide even a little bit. YMMV on this one...I think some comfort has been sacrificed to make it a durable conference room chair and that's a shame because it's definitely well built.
