Lamp burns too hot for its own plastic

We purchased this lamp for our artists at our tattoo studio to use for the tattoo process. We were at a convention recently and the plastic on the back of the lamps started to burn and melt.

Excellent and Bright

Really well made and sturdy. Hubby is a mechanical engineer and even he is impressed with this lamp. Bought it for sewing room because it's a popular choice in the sewing community. It's pretty enough though that I wouldn't hesitate having in in the main floor. It's super bright and practical for grey winter days. Price here was reasonably cimpetitive, too. The threads on the joinery are very robust and promise to keep the lamp rigid and true. Nice fluid gooseneck top to position arms. Overall very impressed. I can see why this is the go-to lamp for sewists. Robust packaging and quick delivery.
