This under desk shelf is very basic - maybe too basic where it seems a bit too flimsy. Also, the amount of under-desk clearance it provides is not much.

I didn't account for an extra edge on my desk and had to add washers and longer screws for the drawer to be able to pull out all the way. That's totally my fault. The tiny screws that attach the brackets to the glides have come out continually. So I added locktite super glue to them. These adjustments have allowed this to be a very sturdy and fully functional keyboard drawer. I recommend making a template for where to screw in underneath the desk. It is very challenging to get it placed evenly.

Some people complained that this was cheap quality or that it was difficult to install, but it's clearly a plastic tray, so I don't know what they were expecting, especially for the bargain price. Also, I had no trouble installing since I was careful to measure and mark the holes for the brackets and I was smart enough to not make the mistake of installing any of the brackets backwards. Some people are just lazy and dumb.

I got this as a solution to free up more space on my desktop which it has done wonderfully. my desk however has a crossbar that drops about 1.5" below the bottom plane of the desk. I had to improvise some spacersto allow the keyboard to clear this bar. I havent let my arms really rest on this shelf as I'm nervous it may pull free of the desk. It still has been working great and I guess my only improvement would be that they include a set of longer screws and some spacers.

It seems to be a fairly solid keyboard tray for daily use. I was replacing an old broken one of a different style. The assembly of the tray itself was pretty easy to do. Instructions are included. The difficult part for me was mounting it under the desk. Working by myself, it was a little bit of a challenge to try to hold it and mark where I needed to drill some holes and be able to see the marks on the bottom of the desk. It wasn't working well for me. Then I decided to make my own mounting template since one was not included. I taped a few pieces of blank paper together to make one long sheet. I placed the assembled tray upside down on the paper and marked the 4 holes on the paper. I then took the paper and taped it under the desk where I could easily see the 4 marked spots. This let me drill the holes in the right place and finish mounting it in no time at all.

I purchased this Keyboard drawer for an entirely different use than was intended. My new computer desk for my laptop lacked a drawer for storing items such as pens, pencils, a tray with compartments for paper clip, staples and various other necessities. It took some doing but I was able to install it and it serves my purpose perfectly!

Boss suggested that I get an underdesk keyboard drawer when I first started setting up my home office. Didn't think I needed it, but I did !! Average desk height is just not ergo enough to have the keyboard directly on the desk. This was easy to install on my own. Plastic feels nice and steady. Glides open and close easily. Fits my keyboard perfectly. I prefer my mouse to be on the table. I use to sit at an angle, but this keyboard drawer makes me sit straight and align with my monitors. Perfect for ERGO !!

It was not so easy to install. The cost for the way it slides back under the desk should have been cheaper. That is the issue I have does not slide under desk with ease.
