Do not buy Moen Adler - rusted ring in sink
Installed two in late July and soon after one of the rings began to rust. See picture. A neighbor plumber in training did the install.
The copper supply lines were smaller in diameter and shorter than the similar faucet that I replaced. Had to make another run to the store to get longer braided pipes. Otherwise, pretty much as I expected.
My new faucet
My 1950s faucet needed replacing and this Moen product really filled the bill. The hardest part of changing it out was getting the old one out!
I am very pleased with this product. As a matter of fact the other one I bought eight months ago for my front bathroom turned out great. Very simple to install following all instructions-the new one will go to the master bathroom. These are superb!
Disappointed in Moen
Old faucet had 3/8" opening on water feed, new faucet now has 1/4" opening. Won't take long and they will close shut from minerals in water. So much for thinking Moen was my best option. Next time I'll look for a different brand.
Chrome and metal has deteriorated underneath
I have 3 of this chrome model installed in my bathrooms and the chrome and metal underneath has deteriorated so much in all of them under 10 years of normal use. Dark gritty pieces come off and wash away at every cleaning. Will Moen honour it's lifetime warranty? I'll keep you posted.
This faucet fits and works perfectly. Unlike many of comparable products it has all-metal fittings and hose connections which resist over tightening. Installation was very easy. My only suggestion would be for the manufacturer to include a small packet of plumbers putty to use in installing the drain (I already had some).
New Adler Faucet vs Previous Model
I purchased to replace an older version. The water flow appears to be slower than previous model. I have a tankless water heater and it takes much longer to get hot water. I have a double sink bathroom and the older faucet has a faster flow with hot water delivered faster.
I will be returning the 2 faucets today after discovering they do not have the flexible connectors I need to eliminate the older copper connections. The person who assisted us was excellent and we also bought a more complicated kitchen sink faucet. Home Depot has the best customer service!!
I purchased the 2-pack of Adler bathroom faucets and had them installed a couple of weeks ago. I noticed both of them are dripping from the spout at a very slow rate of about a drip every couple of hours. I read some reviews that mention this issue with this particular Moen product that doesn't seem to be fixed by replacing the cartridges. I don't want to pay more money to have someone replace a brand new faucet with another brand or have the cartridges replaced. This is very disappointing. I won't be using Moen in the future.
I’m extremely disappointed in the moen faucet. I installed it and it leaked like crazy. I thought it was the hoses changed to different types of hose still leaked. I called in a plumber and he immediately saw the problem. The brazing on the copper supply lines in the faucet were no good and leaking.
Cheap plastic drain leaks like a sieve.
The faucet itself looks nice and appears to work ok, but the cheap plastic drain leaks like a sieve. After two attempts I have not been able to install the drain so that it doesn't leak. There are several YouTube videos reporting that Moen's cheap plastic drains are notorious for leaking where the rubber gasket underneath the sink secures the drain pipe to the basin. I would not recommend this faucet or any Moen faucet that uses the same cheap plastic drain. Literally, money down the drain.
Fine entry level faucet
The installation was straight forward and easy. My only issue was the plastic on the unit when I'd read Moen used all metal components. I should know this entry level product couldn't match the build quality of an American Standard or Kohler. We get what we pay for.
Poorly designed deck gasket, otherwise okay
I had a real issue with the plastic deck gasket on this faucet. It was much thinner and flimsier feeling than on my old faucet and looked warped. Sure enough, the first time I bolted everything down to the countertop, I had water running right underneath the gasket and down into the vanity. So that flimsy gasket doesn't seal out water at all. I had to make a snake out of plumbers putty and press it all around the underside edge of the gasket to form a seal against the countertop. Irritating!
Very affordable product !
We have had good success with Moen faucets. This was our second purchase. They look nice & have been working very well. The faucets were pretty easy to install too.
Great faucet. Moen makes faucets to last for years. Most problems can be repaired by replacing an internal cartridge which is easy to access. They are also covered by a lifetime warranty which entitles the purchaser to free cartridges for an unlimited amount of time. Keep proof of purchase and call the company for free cartridges as needed.
Ok faucet, terrible drain piece
Ok faucet, terrible drain piece. You'll want some silicone sealant to put on the rubber gasket where it meets the drain piece, and probably some around the base of your sink and the same gasket. I ended up tossing the drain piece and hacking together my old one's stopper pull and this faucet. Also, this does not come with any water lines, so if the one you're replacing had built in water lines, you should go buy replacements.
Great product! It works like a charm and it is smooth as silk. My only problem was I purchased this faucet without looking in the box, checking for mounting hardware. Well, it was missing so I had to make do with anything I could make work! Never fear, I installed it and it is working great! MOEN, is a great product!
Fair price. I have used this same faucet for the last 20 years. Maintenance free. The faucet I replaced was 18 years old had a small drip, but Didn't even try to repair. I bought an extra as a backup for my other bathroom faucets.
Plumber is installed it today. Appears everything is great, and working A-OK. We'll be back for future plumbing equipment. So far, all items purchased from Home Depot on Lane Avenue in Jacksonville, FL, have been of good quality. No complaints, only kudos. Thank You for being our go-to place. All's good in the neighborhood!
