Very good purchase

Very smart assembly. Pieces fit well and tools included that were a perfect fit for the job in tight spaces. High quality wood, no chemical smell, very beautiful finish. Bed is also sturdy. Highly recommend.

Nice bed!!!

This bed frame is exactly what I wanted!!! The headboard is the perfect height (I hate tall headboards) and the bed itself feels pretty sturdy. And I love the way it looks too :-)

Screws too short to assemble the headboard

Looks solid but started assembling and first four steps to assemble the headboard with support legs - type M screws are short, and no getting engaged / tightening up into headboard. It needs to be at least 1/8" to 3/16" longer in order to catch it into headboard.

Amazed at the quality of this bed for the price. It will last my granddaughter for many years to come. Better bed than many top quality brands sold elsewhere. Super happy with my purchase and highly recommend to others

Beats my expectations!!!

Great Quality, very impressed! I have to say I was a little nervous ordering this bed. It beats my expectations in a very good way! Really impressed with the quality of the wood. Finding a wood frame bed at an affordable price is not easy, this is exactly what I wanted! Very easy to put together. I bought this for my very tall teen Son who was still sleeping on a twin bed. Highly recommend!

Good materials. Good color. We're content.

The materials are good, the packaging and expected construction process are empathetically designed for the customer. Unlike IKEA style platforms, however, this platform has no overlapping edge to hold the mattress in place, so be sure to order a good mattress with some weight. We chose a NapQueen Victoria 10" Hybrid Mattress and it works well. The hybrid mattresses are much less expensive than the 'known' types, but our sense is that it should provide good support and do the job for 5-8 years. It is both comfortable and firm. Zinus platform beds do include a kind of unsophisticated way of holding a lighter mattress in place by allowing the user to peel back a strip of paper on two of the support slats, revealing a semi-sticky surface. I'm not sure it will continue to work over time, but again, with the heavier mattress, a user will have no issues.

Perfect for a young man!

We paired the Santiago bed with the Zinus pressure relief gel memory foam icoil mattress. The bed itself was very easy to put together with the tools provided. My teenager basically put it together himself! As a bonus we are writing thank you cards for our delivery drivers with the nice cards provided with our purchase!! This is our second Zinus bed in our home and couldn’t be happier!

how about a color in the description

not sure why i didn't read all the reviews/questions before purchasing this bed but i didn't (lesson learned)! the santiago platform bed appears to be gray in color in the pictures on the website but is far from it. the only description of the color was written on the side of the box and it said "espresso". this thing is far from "espresso", it's black. now i'm stuck with a black bed. how about putting some detail in the descriptions about what color your products are? this would have been very helpful to me.

Absolutely ZERO support and customer service. One of the cross pieces was drilled too large for bolt to attach. Emailed Zinus, they said they do not cover"We are very sorry for the inconvenience but we only replace legs, box spring cover, slats and hardware.

okay for the price

I bought this bed frame 6 months ago. First when it was delivered, it came with the headboard damaged, but I figured it wasn't worth going through the hassle of the return since the box was already open. Within just a couple of months the screws already started to get lose and the bed would shake from side to side just sitting on the edge. Now 6 months later, there is at least a 1 cm gap where the frame comes together in the corner on each side. This is very disappointing since it hasn't even been a year and the frame is already falling apart.

Love it

I bought a king cooling gel memory foam mattress and my SO and I have been sleeping far better than when we used a spring mattress. I don't wake up needing to stretch my stiff back and have a deeper sleep than I ever have. The off gassing of the mattress has taken about 5 days to dissipate, with us flipping it, opening a window and jumping on it to help it along, but this has not affected our sleep. It's extremely comfortable and the black farmhouse frame we got from Zinus is very sturdy and looks beautiful. Great decision to buy and I am happy with this purchase :)

Pleasantly Surprised

Read a lot of reviews about the company's platform beds, and they were generally positive, so I went for it. Totally don't regret it. I got it within a week, and everything came in an easy to manage box in the doorstep. Smart packaging, all the styrofoam was wrapped in plastic, so no damage and no mess. Super easy to follow instructions, and all the hardware was in a separate, smaller box. They even give you a pretty solid ratchet Allen tool, which made setup super easy. Solid construction, well supported rails, and a nice solid metal center rail. The rails both have the plastic part of a velcro strip and 4 dowels in each side. This is how the slats are held in place, which is an amazing idea. No noise, no drilling, and two of the slats have a sticky strip to hold the mattress in place. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, as the cost to value ratio is amazing. Totally recommended.

99% perfection

We ordered a frame from Zinus and it is amazing overall. It came in one box. Even the styrofoam was wrapped so it didn’t leave “snow” all over the pieces. Instructions were simple and the frame is super solid. The only issue I had was that the bed frame was black. On my phone and personal computer it appears grey (which is what I wanted). I went back and looked at the description, and apparently it doesn’t actually say a color. My bad! For what it’s worth, my wife and I like the frame so much, and the price was so good, that we bought a $30 can of chalk paint and made it the grey we wanted anyway.

I love my new bedframe!!

It asked, if I felt like I was sleeping on the softest marshmallows ever? My reply would be no but that's not Zenus's fault, as I did not buy my new bed from them, just the frame. The frame is great!!! It's very stylish and get more room from my last bed frame, is closer to the wall, adds more space to my room. It's tall enough you can fit stuff underneath your bed or just leave it empty and clean. I like the extra support of all the extra posts underneath. I would definitely highly recommend this platform to other people
