Terrible quality control and customer support. Wrong parts were packed making assembly impossible. Customer support consists of telling me to return this large and heavy package to Walmart. Quite the waste of my time.

Smart and Solid

I can't get over how excellent the build process was for this bed. It's like a master class in clear, useful directions and design. For example, rather than labeling each piece of the build, Zinus labels each *connection point*—so you just match up two numbers and screw them together. It's virtually impossible to mess up. The package also comes with a well-organized and -labeled hardware blister pack, large and detailed assembly diagrams, and even a ratcheting allen wrench! And as for the bed itself, it's wonderfully solid and has its own bits of clever design, like the fact that the dowel nuts used to make the headboard attachment extra-sturdy are inserted on the inside of the frame, which allows them to be long enough to stick out a bit, making it trivially easy to rotate them to the correct position for the matching bolts. My only complaints are very minor: The finish is a tad rough and the color a bit paler than it looks on my screen, making the bed a bit more rustic-looking than I'd hoped. And the platform slats don't sit inside the rails at all, so lighter beds are likely to move a bit. (Two of the slats have strong double-sided tape to help prevent this, but I can't imagine the tape would stay sticky for long.) But overall it's an astonishingly great product. After my experience here, I honestly would never consider a self-assembled frame from another manufacturer, and will be checking to see if they make any other furniture we might need. It's that impressive to me.

Excellent bed. We love it. A solid built bed… and it came with all the parts. But wish it was the newer deluxe model of bed where the side rails are wider. It was easy to put together and easy to move. A great buy.
