Faux Leather cracking up and peeling. Hard to assemble

We have owned 5 of these bar stools for almost 5 years. The poly is starting to peel and crack. They have otherwise been very comfortable and looks great. Over the years, some of the screws fell out, but my husband replaced them. They were hard to put together in the beginning and to replace the screws. Otherwise we loved them. So now i will have to buy new. This is an expensive decision

Very pleased with the purchase of 6 these barstools. The barstools are high end quality, seat pad size very generous and comfortable n the seating area, Armrest great feature, and swivel allows easy access in and out. Price point very expensive unless you can get a *-*% discount. Would have given 4 Stars fir this but the quality justifies the price. This was the splurge during the kitchen remodel and it was the right decision.

Perfect Elegance-But not worth the price

I absolutely love these stools, they're comfortable and I like the seating. Although they were pricey per one I feel they are worth the sturdiness- I will definitely add to this review in about 6months to see how well they held up May 5, 2023**ALMOST A YEAR LATER AND THESE STOOLS HAVE BEEN A DISAPPOINTMENT THE SCREWS COME LOOSE ALL THE TIME AND ITS A HASSEL TO RE -TIGHTEN paying * per stool was definitely not worth the aggravation of the screws always coming loose when someone sits in them... Back to the drawing board with purchasing new stools- Very annoying

We saw these stools last year in San Diego in a showroom for twice the price. We couldn’t justify buying them at the time because they would have had to be shipped from the manufacturer in Quebec, to the store in CA, then to us in NH, which made no sense. So we continued to look and I found them on overstock for half the price! We were fortunate to have been able to sit on them in a store. That made our decision to purchase them online much easier. The stools arrived in their boxes within 3 days. For us, assembly was easy after the first one. They slide nicely on our wood floor. The swivel is smooth, cushion is firm and comfortable. The stools weigh in at 30 pounds and they are one sturdy stool. The frame is matte black metal and upholstery is a faux leather, but feels real. The upholstery color is a true taupe. The description states cream but it is actually taupe. I would have been disappointed if I hadn’t seen the swatch in person. Overall we are quite pleased with our purchase. They were definitely worth the wait, especially since we found them here for half the price. We definitely recommend these stools or any stool from Amisco, they make a nice quality product. Modern, Sturdy Bar Stools!

These are beautiful. So sturdy and substantial. Most anyone would feel secure sitting in these regardless of size. They are easy to wipe clean, though I wouldn't use any strong cleaners. Perfect for my bar area by the dart board.

I bought one of these 5 years ago. It is seldom used so it took a while for the issue to show up. There is a major design flaw. While the stool does swivel, it takes a fair amount of force to do so. The effort to swivel isn't the problem. The problem is that the force needed to swivel will pull the attachment screws that connect the swivel platform to the seat. I saw screws under the stool on the floor and wondered where they came from. Once the screws are loose or missing someone could sit on stool and try to lean back - the person and chair will fall off the stool onto the floor.

Highly recommend. Bought 8 red bar chairs. They look great and are quite comfortable. Even my husband, kids and their teenage friends all commented on how great they "sit". If you have hardwood floors I recommend adding a protector to the feet but that's no big flaw. Perfect purchase. Exceeded expectations.

I would NOT recommend this product

Product shipping screws were bent during shipping. Couldn't disassemble 3 of the 4 chairs because bolts were bent. Also, backs of chairs didn't tighten completely to base, which made the back wobbly once assembled on the base. Very narrow seat between arms.

First and foremost. These chairs are no way *** worth $*** each. Maybe $*** for all 3. The pictures make them look like something special. They are strong metal I'll say. They fit better in my basement bar than a kitchen or formal type setting. They are not very overwhelmingly comfortable which I was looking for. I would look for something different next time in person instead of on line. Starting to be turned off by products from overstock.

I love these bar stools.

These were the perfect barstools for our new vacation home. I love the clean lines. I wanted something with a back, that swiveled & was stylish. These fit the bill. I had wanted them to slide in under my counter but due to my thick bar they won't. However, I am going to have the legs cut down so they slide right under my bar.

Awesome stools!

These stools are beautiful. Extremely well made. Heavy. Very sturdy. The swivel works perfectly. They are very contemporary looking and add a nice modern touch to any kitchen. Amisco is a great company based in Quebec, Canada. They make high quality home furnishings at very reasonable prices. Stools are one of their bread and butter items. The black powder coating finish looks great as does the fabric. They are very easy to assemble with all required tools included. Highly recommended!

Love the design. We hoped the cushions were a darker gray as shown in the pic but more lighter gray. Still nice color. Love the 360 degree swivel and weight of chair for preventing tipping. Slight issue of the cushion releasing air when you sit down. 2 or 4 cushions make a hissing sound.

We purchased 4 stools. I was worried because the boxes were damaged, however, they were all fine. Easy to assemble, all the screws matched perfectly. They swivel smoothly, are sturdy, and VERY comfortable! I love that they can be wiped clean! Exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend!

Disappointed in this product. The quality is ok.. definitely not worth the price. I got the black and gray chairs. The gray is much lighter than in the picture. Also the chairs should really be a bit shorter. I can’t even push them in under the counter top. I would return the product honestly but I had someone come and assemble them all already and it’s just not worth reboxing and returning. I suggest Finding different chairs.

These Amisco Akers Counter Swivel Metal Bar Stools 26 inch are made from heavy gauge welded steel and when you move, lift or sit in the chairs it becomes obvious that the chairs were engineered to a very high standard. The fine engineering of the chairs made it necessary to use only ten bolts and four nuts to assemble. Although the assembly instructions called for checking each chair for needed leveling, all chair legs were perfectly level on the floor and needed no correction. The lite grey finish on the chairs’ steel frame is perfect with the red fabric seat and back cushions. When assembled, the chairs are a bit too heavy to lift and carry – but slide easily on glides provided for each chair leg. As we completed our last of four chairs, it took us about 20 minutes. If I were writing the assembly instructions, I would have mentioned that the owner of the chairs should periodically checked the bolts to make sure none had loosened during use. I also would have cautioned parents that the weight of each chair would make it dangerous if a toddler pulled the chair over onto himself. These are excellent chairs and I highly recommend them. This is my first purchase of Amisco products and I plan to checkout their product line. Less

Somehow the height I ordered was not what I received. After hours on chats and the phone the only progress was I now own a single extra set of too tall legs to match my four too tall chairs. My husband cut 4" off the legs and all is well. Be very, very careful, print the description page and do not assume that you will get the size you intend if there are TWO DIFFERENT heights listed on the same page. Very nice chairs.

Great value - Great style

We are remodeling our kitchen and great room in a mid-century modern style - think Mad Men. We were looking for counter stools to go with that style, that swiveled, that had arms, and that would be comfortable for extended seating periods. These looked perfect on-line, and we had good previous experience with furniture from Overstock, so we rolled the dice and ordered 8 (it is a big kitchen). Given the excellent value, I expected significant self-assembly required - but I was pleasantly surprised. They are packed extremely well, and require modest assembly. Still some assembly, but much less than a lot of wood furniture, for instance. The downside of less assembly required is that the box for each one is very large. We were shocked when we saw the 8 of them and their boxes that showed up.The design is perfect for our style and the swivel is very well engineered. All look and feel like they should have cost 3x what we paid. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that the foot bar is a little too high for my 6' 2" height. It would ideally be a bit lower for my ideal comfort. Everyone below 6' seems to think they are perfect comfort.Bottom-line, we are thrilled with the look, the quality, the value, and the general comfort of these stools. Less

Bar Stool excellent style and quality, poor detail

I went online and read the size of the seat as a person with physical issues I need a large seat and when it stated 20.6 by 20.7 I knew this would compare to my current barstools at 20x 20, but when I called in the representative stated the dimensions were for the seat so I thought now I am go to go. But they are not seat dimension they are including arms which are 2 inch on each side and the back and how it curves out are included in the seat dimensions. The seat was 17x 18 making this an not useable barstool. I loved the style and the sturdiness but getting the correct information if the first step and the organization who wrote the dimensions dropped the ball.,,,,,,,
