The desk does not have an USB port as shown in the description,it arrived well packaged without any scratches but it's too small for my needs. The top is glass with playwood.

Not really worth the hassle of assembly!

I have "built" at least 50 pieces of furniture from kits like this over the years, therefore I speak from experience and a degree of competence when I say that this is far and away the worst experience I have ever had assembling something. The instructions and illustrations in the assembly guide are abysmal. None of the pieces are easily identifiable from the parts identification page (see attached photo) and it took an inordinate amount of time to decipher which crossbar piece is which (there are eight, six of which are the same length, but with different ledges, holes and tabs you won't be able to see in the illustration). The desk ultimately came together and after tightening all pieces and securing the glass, it became clear that I installed the front top crossbar G upside down (this piece holds the front of the largest piece of glass). I caution anyone who purchases this desk and attempts to assemble it, be especially careful with this step. There is nothing on the piece or instructions that ensure correct assembly -- it WILL match up the wrong way, and you will not realize it until you have finished everything else. Enjoy completely disassembling your new desk so that you can reassemble. The product, made by coasterfurniture.com, is a modern design that looks great and is made of decent materials. I so wish that the company had done the rest of their job by including appropriately labeled and detailed instructions. Overall, a well-designed desk that was barely worth the effort to assemble. Perfectly Spacious & Stylish Too!!!

This modern & sleek writing desk works beautifully for my open style apartment. The glass & chrome accents are the perfect compliment to my current décor. The desk provides more than sufficient space for 2 large monitors, and allows me to safely store my Thinkpad & docking station in the storage area well out of my way. There's plenty of working space for my mouse pad/mouse, legal pad or notebook, or whatever else I may need. I don't feel cramped at the desk at all. I'm able to sit with my legs crossed if I prefer, with my other foot placed flatly on the floor. So the height of the desk is perfectly situated [I'm 5' 4"]. The design of the desk is definitely sleek,, there's no bulkiness at all, which fits well into the open space/ no clutter concept in my living area. For $560.00 the chrome support could be a bit more sturdy. I put the desk together by my lonesome [& I'm by far no expert at these things] but I did feel as thought I could have easily bent each of the bars without issue. We'll have to see how the desk holds up over time. It's only been installed a week. If you are buying a look, this desk is most certainly for you. As I wanted my desk in my open area, sleek & stylish was a must. For the 1st week however, I'm absolutely loving the look of this writing desk. Less
