Great little pump

The pump came with motor jammed sideways in the case. I'M SURE IT WAS FROM SHIPPING. i straightened it out. The while i was assembling it the articulating elbow came apart and would not stay together. Customer service sent me a new part a week later so now i have a working pump.

PRO: Price was great, shipping time was decent considering I ordered this on the weekend it still only took about 5 days, big unit, powerful and easy installation.

Work for three months.

Manufacturer or wholesaler (Alpine) states on its website that parts are available only from retailers. Home Depot, the retailer, states no parts are available from it. Back to Alpine, which states it has no parts of any kind for this product, and does not know when it will receive any. Alpine promises to contact me when and if it receives parts, but it has been weeks and I have heard nothing. I need additional parts for the installation in my application but it appears I am out of luck.

Efficient with less clogs than average

Finally got to install this pump in my pond after a late winter. This pump works efficiently to keep my water circulating and clean without clogging. The problem I ran into is that it was not a powerful enough to cause the water to flow down my waterfall setup. I like it and I am glad I got it, I just need a more powerful one to get the waterfall effect I wanted.

Great pump for backyard pond

So I’ve always wanted to start a koi pond in my backyard. This pump has been a great addition to my koi pond. It is strong enough to filter pollutants in the water but doesn’t bother my fish at all. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to start a fish pond in their yard and are in need of a strong, long lasting and high quality pond pump.

High powered waterfall pump

I replaced my four year old 2100 gallon per hour pump with this new Alpine PUR4100 waterfall pump in my pond / waterfall. This pump delivers 4100 gallons per hour and the waterfall looks so much better than it did before. This new pump is so much stronger than the old one and keeps my top pond full so I have an amazing overflow to cause the waterfall. It’s like comparing a trickle from your faucet to full open.

Powerful Water Pump 4,100 Gallons per Hour !

The pump I selected of the eco-SPHERE PUMP line was the next to highest power, the PUR4100. There are four levels of pump power available from 1400 to 5400 GPH. They all come in a spherical tough plastic 'cage' that allows cooling water to protect the motor, and provides a rough filter for fish or debris larger than 1/8 inch. Of course, if your pond has particles of vegetation, or any soggy compressible substance that could be sucked-in you might want to wrap the cage in a filter cloth, and check it more often.

Will Be a Nice Addition

I finally received this item a few days ago but unfortunately, it was too late to install it properly due to repeated heavy frosts and 20 degree temperatures in Michigan. However, since I could not install it in our pond/fountain, I set it up in our basement and operated it in our laundry tub to ensure that it worked properly. Everything seemed to work properly with an excellent flow rate. It appears to be very well constructed and "heavy duty". I can't wait for spring to set it up outside in our flower garden and pond area.

Moves the water

This pond pump moves the water thoroughly within the pond. I used this pump in a small pond about 5000 gallons. It provides good circulation eliminating stagnant water. The spout can be angled in any direction you wish to move the water. You can also attach a hose to the spout to create a waterfall or fountain. The cage can be opened for cleaning. The pump runs quietly and efficiently. The cord is xtra long to reach your outlet. There is a built in handle around the case of the pump making it easy to carry. It is made very solid and sturdy. I feel that this is a well made item that will last a long time.

One of best pumps

Oh my goodness this pump is the bomb! We have small pond that we love, however it is hard to find an adequate pump to keep everything moving around. The Alpine Eco Sphere 4100 pond pump really does the job. Our fish are happy and the pond has never looked this clean. Almost no algae which means less maintenance. Another great thing it uses only a fraction of electricity than our old pump and it’s even quieter.
