Cheaply made. I going to ask for a refund.
It's not mica
this light looks okay from afar, but the so-called mica is actually a fabrication, it is some sort of resin with a grid visible in the material; the maker maintains that the substance is made from mica chips and some synthetic process, but I have other lights actually made with thin layers of mica schist and this Meyda light is not that.
