I had to use a different bottom cap to allow clearance for both pull chains, but that was not a big deal since I have plenty of ceiling fan light parts from units which have given up the ghost.

Installation was easy; it was a perfect complement to the already installed fan

It SHOULD have been an easy install

The light looks good, and works well. The first snag - a missing screw that holds the light kit to the flange that attaches to the switch housing. Pop rivets worked well. Second snag - the threaded hole in the switch housing was not threaded completely to receive the threaded tube that passes wires through from the light into the switch housing. Had to go get a 3/8-24 tap to thread it through. Hunter needs work on quality control. Also missing pull chain ends. Now that it's installe, I like it.

Good looking, but amber shade dims brightness

I have 2 hunter fans that came with light kits. One had this amber bowl/shade that dims the lights too much for it to be a good light to read by or to work on anything. The other shade/bowl on the white fan was a milky white swirl glass that had plenty of light because the shade was not dimming them. If you have a choice, this would be only for ambiance, and use table top lamps for reading and task lighting. Or buy the white bowl/shade. Both fans operate silently for 4 years now.

Great Product

Sent it back because we did not need it after all. The electrician found that the original light kit had not been hooked up correctly. High quality, very nice none

Nice fit for my older Hunter fan

The product was fine, although it was beyond my expertise to install. I used my old bowl rather than the amber one.

One flaw

Good materials except for one tiny screw that holds the entire lamp assembly to the fan assembly. Hole is too big and screw will not tighten. I ordered two kits and both were this way. I’m searching for a tiny screw just a little bigger in diameter
