this thing is dope. i bought it with a swarm light the combo is great. high power/quality and affordable. love it.

NOISY

WAY too noisy. The motor inside makes all kinds of grinding sounds. We have 4 of these, and they ALL make a lot of noise. Not good.

Its a decent retro effect light as long as you keep your expectations within the fact that it sells for under a hundred bucks. Plug it in and go. Nothing to configure except for the sound activation sensitivity, which, even at max sensitivity (which is called "frequency" on the unit) is OK but cannot be upped to too sensitive. I use a pair of these aimed at the dance floor for my shows at Senior Centers and the swirling/rotating points of light will amazingly punch through some ambient lighting. The motor is noiser than I prefer but motor noise is not audible out on the dance floor. Overall, if you are on a budget and want an easy to use effects light the Vertigo LED Hex is worthy of consideration.

ADJ Vertigo...i...

ADJ Vertigo...its a classic effect, I think this is you Best Bang for you Buck light looks great & if get two of this & a different center piece light you will have a nice light show. this light is for small bars, small weddings, kids parties.Pros: Classic effect, great coverage , clean look, sound active great program/cycle.Cons: Motor make a little noise, so what i did to my units a little electric Grease & no problem.

Really nice professional light!

This is an awesome pro quality light. Very bright,great colors. Only complaint is the speed isn't adjustable.

Basic Lighting

For the money, it's a pretty simple lighting effect. Nothing too fancy. Non-DMXable. No features. Just plug and play. A good party light.

Good effect..poorly put together

On unpacking 2 of these, noticed that the mic inputs were loose on both. I suppose I should have tested pre-gig as when I fitted them on adjacent t-bars right next to the bins one of them refused to come on. Had to keep on tapping the mic with a mic boom to get it to respond. It would work for a couple of tracks then switch off again. FOr ADJ kit I'm a bit dissapointed. The effect, when working was good.

Good and Bad

The good news is that this fixture is very bright with strong color throws. It doesn't run patterns, it runs via sound sensitivity. That's the good news. The bad news is that the sound sensitivity doesn't seem very sensitive. The only way I can make it work is to tap on the can itself. It doesn't matter where the sound sensitive knob is set -- It doesn't react to sound, bass, or drum hits -- it just stays black until someone taps it. Have queried support; waiting for a response. I have a feeling this one may be going back.

autosense not so much

Based on the Tri-LED controller board, the unit struggles to activate as it requires nearly 75 dbs. Either the walls must shake or you put a speaker directly behind it. I've replaced the mic, pot as well as the controller board.

PERFECT!

I brought 2x American DJ Vertigo HEX LED for my DJ lighting and when they arrived one unit was faulty BUT SAYING THAT! DJkit replaced me with another unit straight away, resolving the problem and let me tell you that this light is lightweight, looks beautiful and vivid with a mix of smoke.

ADJ VERTIGO HEX

A really good fixture with a very wide, bright beam angle. The power linking is great and it really does look "snazzy"!!!! But, it does make a bit of noise which is the only downside, but when the music is on you cannot hear it!! ;)

Great Product

I was not expecting so much for the price. The light is larger than it looks in the photos and the effects are great. An awesome stand alone stage light! I want three more.

Great effect to it. If you're on a budget and looking for a good effect to fill the room or dance floor, this is it! It's a great effect and completely worth it. I recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, bright effect.

Pros: Long Beam Throw,Runs Cooler,Efficient,Easy Setup,BrightI bought this light and 2 American DJ Vertigo Tri LEDS and the Hex led was totally awesome it covered the whole entire area when i was doing a concert. This is the easiest and best light to have setup. if anybody buys this light buy 2 of them and 4 American DJ Tri LEDS.
