We used this as under the counter lighting for a kitchen remodel. We needed 4000K to match new room lighting and installed this with the hard wire option. Excellent results!

Fun light to add to your home

I have tried some other Armacost Lighting products and all of them have worked very well. This RibbonFlex dimmable LED take light is along the same great quality. Easy to use and you can even cut down the tape light to your needed length. I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel, so tried this on some side cabinets to help with nighttime lighting. Easy to install and I just ran the cord down the backside of my cabinet to the outlet. Really added some light to a dark corner. Tape gets a little warm, so thinking of adding this near my tile for heat protection. In my picture, you can see the simple instructions along with all the included items.

Great lighting with excellent installation instructions

We used the tape to illuminate the interior of our liquor cabinet and it looks great – see photos. I really want to compliment the writers of the installation instructions as they did a great job. Installation is easy on one level – just stick the adhesive back of the tape where you want it and plug in the power supply. But to get good looking illumination there are a number of considerations that are discussed in the instructions, with illustrations. For instance: use temporary tape to position the strip & check our its effect before permanently sticking it on. And position it behind trim or at an angle to avoid glare and directly seeing the LEDs. In our case we positioned it on the upper inside wall above the area we wanted to illuminate.

Simple to use and lights well

I have installed another brand of ribbon lights, and decided to try this one for simplicity. This set is strictly warm white, while the other was adjustable with a remote, and this set run on 12v vs 24v for the other set. For the amount that I adjust the temperature of the lights (never), I think the simplicity of this is much better. The transformer is a simple 12v transformer, and as long as you have the polarity correct (a real problem for me because I messed up & connected them backwards) it just works. I used a connection set for the other brand to make long-distance connections because I couldn't find one for Armacost, but they worked well together. The lighting is quite nice, and there is no adjustment needed. I ran the ribbons close to the front edge of my cabinets, and I wish I had moved them back about 1 inch so they would light the entire countertop.

Easy installation

I got this Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex (5M) Home AC Dimmable Soft White LED Tape Light Kit 2700K for under our kitchen cabinets. The existing lights are halogen, which protrude out and get really hot.

Very easy install with the adhesive backing

The Armacost ribbon flex LED light strip is a cinch to install, The LED lights make it very thin and they put out a lot of nice white light. The tape is 16 feet long and it has connections every few feet where you can cut the tape in order to change directions. It comes with special electrical clips to enable you to change directions very easily. The strip is powered with a 12 volt transformer so you can not get shocked by touching the strip. I installed mine in the garage in the tool storage area on a very long 4 by 4 that runs 24 feet and is just above head hight. It illuminates everything very nicely and lets you see all the nuts, bolts and washers and other hardware on the shelves. If you use it in a kitchen or display cabinet it will light it up very nicely. Since I did not cut it the install was only about 15 minutes.

Armacost LED Lighting Strip #424502 is a GREAT Lighting Accent for my kitchen!!

Armacost Lighting’s RibbonFlex Home LED Tape light kit, model #424502, is an excellent lighting accent to create a nice warm and friendly kitchen atmosphere in my home. It is so simple to apply “the-cut-to-size” up to a 16-foot permanent self-adhesive, 2700 Kelvin soft white warm, LED (Light Emitting Diode) strip to underside of my kitchen cabinets. Just make sure the surface is clean and free of dust and dirt and then just remove the backing cover and stick the strong 3M permanent adhesive tape to the bottom of the kitchen cabinets. The lighting strip can be cut to length and comes with 2 plug-together wire connectors that allow you to make twist and turns in the light strip around cabinet angles so you can customize its application need and size length. Complete package, so easy to install!

I LOVE this Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex AC Dimmable Bright White LED Tape Light Kit! I have wanted to add light to my kitchen island without making the kitchen overly bright. I used this kit to install "up-lighting" around the base of the skylight over my island, and it is perfect for the job! It installed in minutes, it accomplishes exactly what I want, and this kit had everything needed, including connectors if you want to have it go around corners, or make a break in the line. You can cut it to size, add to the existing ribbon, and add a dimmer to your switch to adjust the brightness. I highly recommend this kit!
