It was the correct fitting to fit the faucet but...
It was the correct fitting to fit the faucet but I needed a 3/8 compression fitting on the on the other not a 1/2" fitting that was not listed on the example.

This is a great hose for the specialized use of replacing the factory supply hoses on many faucets. It is external threads and an o-ring to screw into the body of the faucet. It also has standard 1/2" pipe threads with a washer for connecting to supply lines in the house. The stainless braid looks strong and helps the hose bend without kinking. This will provide additional life to your faucet.

American Standard Faucet Supply Hose description is less than helpful in trying to determine if would will fill my needs. This should clear that up. The hose itself looks to be of very high quality materials. I did a pressure test on it and it did not leak. This is 17.5 inches in length. One end is about 10mm and threaded with an oring and the other end is about 15.6mm thread nut. The hose is marked A923672R4NL. It is made for American Standard fixtures.

The hoses had leaks around gaskets and I needed them longer pretty bad experience it took too long in shipment as well.
Not a universal size, but size is not specified
Although there is only one American Standard Faucet Supply hose available on HomeDepot (at least it was the case in May 2015), it is not a universal hose.
