I Like it Now, Time Will Tell

A lot of this is going to come down to the atheistic for people. I liked the look of this faucet. I was using it for a standard size sink, maybe even slightly smaller so I was concerned about fit/ splashing. This is a bigger faucet. I do have taller ceilings and it looks well balanced, despite not being part of the oversized sinks that are more common these days. I liked the single handle as it's easier to keep clean and you can use the back of your hand to turn it on and off when your hands are dirty. I like that it has a pull down with a switch to spray. I also liked the pause button although it's not as useful as I originally hoped as you have to hold it. If you are holding a pot and want to pause to scrub it that's not going to work. It's easy enough to turn it off at the handle obviously so I guess I just haven't found the feature's functionality; maybe to fill things outside of the sink it will be useful. The pressure from both the regular and the spray function is good. When it's on regular, the stream is concentrated towards the middle so which helps with splashing as its a larger faucet head over my smaller sink. I also have a pretty small under-sink area so I was worried about the pullback feature. I made sure I have clearance and a clear path. It does recall pretty well but I usually have nudge it back up fully. Not an issue for me and probably more of a reflection of my under sink area size but worth mentioning if that's a deal break for someone else. If you are expecting instant snapback, don't, it's more like a gentle return to position. I chose this model for the look, functionality, replaceable cartridge, and the brand's reputation/warranty. So far I am pleased but of course time will tell as it's only been installed for a week or so.

[Rewarded Review] The PERFECT laundry room faucet!

Absolutely love this faucet. We installed in our laundry room to use on our laundry tub sink. It's perfect for this function- and far better than the builder grade "tub sink" standard style faucet. The pressure and flow is strong, smooth, and powerful. The hose size is perfect for utilitarian uses (cleaning out the dog waterer, pretreating stains, etc.) This is also one of the first pull down faucet who's hose on/off button hasn't annoyed me. The handle operates smoothly and efficiently. When you press the button the flow immediately stops and vise versa. The install went as expected- smooth with no hick-ups. I will say the color of the online photo vs real life is different. Online photo makes it look as if its chrome-like/shiny/mirror-like. It's the complete opposite. In real life it seems to have a matte/soft/frosted appearance to it. And that is the main reason I love it so much for a laundry room. This soft appearance just pairs so well with fresh towels out of the drier. Or lines hanging the line. The vibe of it just was meant for a laundry room. This major plus for a laundry room would be a major down side, for me personally, had I got this for my kitchen faucet. I wouldn't like the slow glow, matte-like appearance in a kitchen, I'd much prefer a more "sterile"-like coloration (chrome, shiny, mirror-like) for that squeaky clean kitchen feel.

[Rewarded Review] Upgrading with an American Standard Raviv faucet

I chose the American Standard Rajiv model because of its outstanding appearance. This faucet stood out from the large display I saw. Part of the reason for my choice was the outstanding features on this unit. Being able to stream, spray and having a pause button were attractive features in my opinion. The stainless steel finish will hide smudges. Installing this unit is quite easy as indicated, the long water line connections made it simple to connect and allows extra clearance for the movable weighted spray hose. Rather than using plumber’s putty, which I find to be dried out when removing a faucet, I used silicone. Tip: For those that use a soap dispense frequently, I replaced the bottle with 3/8” tubing approx. 30” long and put a large jug of dish soap on the base cabinet floor. I like the faucet lever resistance - it feels solid. I do like the tall spout on this unit and I guess I’ll have to update my backsplash now :D

[Rewarded Review] Great laundry room faucet!

he Raviv Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet from American Standard is a clean, transitional style that brings maximum efficiency to every task. Equipped with Re-Trax, the spray head extends and retracts with a smooth, flawless motion, and docks securely when done. Very inexpensive but full fixtured. We use our laundry room sink for all household projects except cooking. This dual-function faucet features a toggle button to easily switch between regular stream for filling pots, and spray for rinsing the sink. We have not and will not use the soap dispenser, no one will every refill it, useless I do it. Engineered by American Standard to withstand the rigors of a busy household, the Raviv Kitchen Faucet promises a lifetime of drip-free performance and exceptional beauty in the kitchen. We are satisfied with new faucet and American Standard sink.

[Rewarded Review] High end appearance

This kitchen faucet will give your sink an attractive upgrade. The finish is stainless steel and the tall neck is ideal when you need to wash large pots & pans. Installation was a breeze. Recommend you have a second person to hold the faucet in place while you are under the sink tightening up the unit. The supply lines are of a good lenth so most likely you will not need an extension line. The spray head snaps into the faucet and stays in place after using the hose to rinse your sink. I love that the soap dispenser lifts up so you do not need to go under the sink to refill the bottle like many other brands, Highly recommend this faucet.
