Not Good

Although she looks beautiful I'm afraid Anna G is a triumph of design over practicality. It is impossible to see how far the screw is going into the cork, almost always resulting in having to remove the cork from under her 'dress' with a pair of pliers. I have now purchased a practical cheap corkscrew and use Anna G as an ornament.

This is my third Anna and she has been a good wine opener. I really like the black color and she looks great on our wine bar.

Super styling from Alessi

I have bought this for a gift, so its not been given or used yet. However the weight and quality looks wonderful, and am sure they will be pleased with this

Classic But Flawed

I'm so disappointed. I've wanted the Anna G as a classic design piece for ages, but now that I've invested in her, I've found that her opaque skirt stops you from seeing how far you've got into the cork, and it's also hard to retrieve the cork from under her once it's out of the bottle. Worse still, the corkscrew has on several occasions simply ground the cork into tiny pieces. Super disappointing.

Very heavy but good quality.

My daughter was so happy with this bottle opener, the quality is good, will look nice out on table. She wanted a good one and im sure this will last.

Fell apart on first use

Bought the blue Anna G corkscrew as a replacement for one I'd had for about 12 years. Felt poor quality by comparison, the arms are not metal but chrome plated which feels flimsy. Unfortunately the screw bit came away the first time I used it, ruining the corkscrew and the bottle of wine. Will be returning.

Always So Stylish with Alessi!

This corkscrew stands very well in our drinks cabinet and even when it comes out for use in the kitchen/dining area it is a product that is incredibly stylish. It unscrews the corks with great accuracy and there's no 'wobble' when it goes into the cork. So much better than a boring old corkscrew! An excellent gift and very much appreciated!

Fabulous gift

These are collectible and fun, a modern classic and well constructed. Thanks to the good shipping and very considerate communication. As described in some other reviews, it’s a little slower and trickier to remove spent corks after pulling out…or it would be 5 stars.

Made in China, bloomingdale’s website says made in Italy. Kind of deceiving, doesn’t feel like the quality of made in Italy. Also color is bright red on the website, item is a burgundy brown red.

Great Bottle Owner

Lovely, smooth corkscrew. However, like other reviews, removing the cork can be fiddly. That is more than made up for by the design.
