Why”X”

I have used analon skillets next to my set of copper cookware for decades. Every few years I replace my analon skillets just because they get so much use. My copper cookware just get polished and they’re ready to go after all these years. Why the X surface? I cook everyday, I do not cook meat. The analon skillet is great as always. It’s a shame I could only get them with this fake X surface glued on the bottom. Please consider releasing a line without it.

False advertising of Anolon

I ordered a two piece fry pan set, assured by slick ads that showed the remarkable non-stick qualities of Anolon. Followed user directions to a T. The non-stick promises were non-existent. And the 100% refund promise is a joke. You can only return in UNUSED condition in the original packaging...and that is IF you can find someone to process the return. Apparently, this is the updated version of highway robbery. If I could do zero stars, I would.

Pan fell apart

I was looking forward to getting these 2 pans for $95. Tried the smaller one out by cooking an over easy egg. Rinsed it out first as instructed. Warmed up the pan with some olive oil. Dropped an egg in after it heated up. Flipped it once and it went very well. Apparently while it was cooking the honeycomb mesh came apart from the bottom of the pan! No bueno. Had to return em.

Does the job but not the greatest

Overall, these pans are good and pretty much mimics all other pans that incorporate a stainless steel surface with a nonstick surface. That being said, there are some things to consider when using these types of pans since they are not 100% made with nonstick materials and the manufacturer literature goes into this. You will still need oil to cook on this otherwise your food will stick. Accordingly, DO NOT use spray oils as directed bu the manufacturer. Also, warm up your pan before use otherwise, you risk your food sticking to it.

Not So Versatile

I've been cooking with Anolon products for a very long time. Their titanium non stick line is my all time favorite but long gone. I just recently retired the 1 1/2 quart sauce pan that was my go to risotto cooker. I've also had to retire the 10 inch nouvelle copper skillet that I used extensively and delivered countless numbers of mains and sides. I care for my Anolon stuff well and only hand wash and never use metal utensils to cook. This leads to the purchase of the X line. I was intrigued and in need and now own the 8 and 10 inch skillets. I'm underwhelmed. The cross hatch of wires protrude the surface and frankly make the non stick properties worse and make cleaning more of a chore. Fritattas, omelets, and pilafs, and small burgers, stick to the wires and frankly don't deliver better searing than any of the other Anolon skillets I've owned, and limit the overall versatility of the product. I'm not terribly pleased but disappointed that the brand released an overhyped breakthrough that really doesn't deliver on the stove.

Best Pans Ever

After watching all the people on FB and Instagram, I decided to take the plunge. And OMG, I do not cook much, but at least once a week, I cook fresh skinless salmon and two or three times a week, I cook eggs. I could not believe, the salmon, first the color and the evenness. AND the taste. Amazing difference, and the eggs cooked perfectly and tasted great. I threw away the old 8 and 10 inch pans I had had for 10 years.

A non-stick pan that sticks

I've had these pans for several weeks now and I'm very disappointed. Almost everything I cook in them sticks. What was the point of putting that steel mesh in there? The advertising got me to buy but now a hybrid pan makes no sense to me. If you want steel, get a steel pan. If you want non-stick, get a truly non-stick pan.

The perfect Non-stick Pan??

"The best qualities of cast iron, non-stick and stainless steel in one pan" leaves a bit to be desired. Unless you use a lot of oil or butter, food sticks to the pan. When I asked customer service about it I was told AnolonX is Not a non-stick product! Still waiting to hear back about that comment. If you want non-stick I would not recommend these. Eggs are the worst and you are unable to toss potatoes or veggies unless you have a lot of oil in the pan. I was misled I guess.

Best frying pans ever

I began to use these pans the day they arrived. They're exactly as advertised, no sticking and oil really stays where poured into skillet. I especially like being able to cook at low to medium heat with these and yet get a perfect outcome always. From eggs to meats, shrimp, salmon perfecct! . The sear is great. I am very impressed and so pleased. Easy to clean. I was expecting the interior to be more bumoy or rough to sear the meat and was skeptical of the smoothness. I was so pleasantly surprised. Whatever technology has been used is amazing. I am planning to purchase other pans and or cookie trays, baking pans in Anolon X in the future. [

No Stick+Big Sear=Perfect! Need Grill!

Bought the Anolon X 2 pan set. Put through the paces and loving both. Hard sear meats and vegetables without high heat, AND non-stick easy to clean, fantastic. Pan broiled sirloin, Seared skirt steak for fajitas, seared chicken for salads, seared breakfast potatoes and onions. Outstanding pans. Expensive, maybe, but it doesn't cost, it pays. THANKS! Now what we need is an Anolon X flat, square, 11" griddle (note Not a ridged griddle pan but a flat single burner griddle).

Beyond unhappy w/ pans. Do not waste your money!

So disappointed in these two pans. They're advertised at non-stick but the stainless mesh design makes food stick. Customer Service is worse than the pans and I've been told I cannot return for a refund. Cooked a fried egg in butter and when flipped it stuck on the yolk side. I have a degree in culinary arts and worked as chef for many years. I own All-Clad and Le Creuset and other high end cookware and never disappointed like I am with this purchase. I prepared a Trader Joe's to make lazy meal that instructed to use a non-stick pan without oil... but the food stuck to the pan in a big way. Buyer beware... I did not find this non stick. I will be surprised if my review gets posted.

Not for frying eggs

I bought the 10" and the 8" combo frying pans a few weeks ago, it sears a ribeye steak nicely as well my burgers came out with crispy edges and deliciously juicy inside. But the reason I purchased the pans was to fry eggs in the morning for my 3 kids and myself. The downside is that the eggs got stuck on the bottom of the pan while fry them. You can't make over easy and if it's sunny side up eggs you will need to crisp the bottom in order to remove them. I don't mind crispy on the bottom of my eggs but if you need to flip the eggs over for over medium eggs then you will need to crisp them again to remove the egg without breaking apart. Very disappointed for the price. I'm looking to purchase a nonstick pan elsewhere just for eggs.

Already starting to stick after about 10 uses!

Already started to stick after about 10 uses on the 8.25 inch pan. Yesterday, I needed to use the 8.25 inch to make some omelette. I washed it a little since my was was using it earlier. I saw the metal lining at the bottom of the pan looking like it was a little rusted. I clean ed it as best as I could using a sponge. Started to make my omelette and when I was done, the egg was sticking to the bottom. Omelette broke apart!

Only time will tell, but the first impression is t

Targeted advertising sure is great sometimes, because I was in the market for some new pans as my older non-stick pans were starting to get scruffed up. Then I saw this and figured I’d give it a shot. Glad I did. I’m coming from an older Anolon pan, and I really liked how it handled and cooked, but seeing this with the searing tech from the mesh seemed like a neat idea. I did have hesitations like, adding a mesh will surely add areas for sticky foods to get into. Nevertheless, the Friends and Family sale happened and I gave it a shot, went all in with the 2 piece 8 and 10” pans, and also a 12” pan. Boy, they haven’t disappointed and I do enjoy cooking very much with them. Each pan, the oil stays in place. One time I thought the oil wasn’t even heated because it literally stayed in the spot I poured it. I did a steak in the 12” pan, and that seared it well, and no burnt bits stuck to a single thing. I did some fried eggs in the 8”, and it wasn’t totally stuck, but with the help of a spatula, it was easily dislodge, and I found I was able to get it nice and crispy on the edges, which I normally have to get my cast iron or stainless still pans out to do. I friend some pierogis in the 10” pan just seeing if the dough would stick, and nada, maybe a little bite to the mesh but that was easily displaced. One thing I do notice is it does sear well, probably because the mesh transfers heat so well compared to the nonstick coated areas. When it sears it does evenly, but it does leave the mesh design as the sear (noticed it on my eggs). Not a big deal to me, but for those looking for a nice just edge sear this might not be the pan for you. Overall, this is a first impression review, and I hope it continues to work just as wonderful as the first time. I doubt I’ll try any utensils that aren’t non-stick safe because the sides don’t have the mesh.
