Solid and gorgeous

These are heavy/solid brass and just gorgeous! Lovely Eastlake/Old World/Transitional style we used to soften new modern black kitchen cabinets in a Victorian home. I bought the antique finish and then polished them up some with Brasso, so the grooves stayed bright but the surface lightened up to show up better against the black.

Screws are cheap and broke off while installing. Big mess of the cabinet with broken screws in your hole. Makes the project look amateur.

Nice heavy latch material but the screws are cheap and more than half broke off when screwing into the cabinet, making it very difficult to remove the broken part out of the wood.

I installed the latches yesterday, boy do they look great. Well constructed and will hold up for a long time

Replacing a broken Latch

The latch broke on my antique cabinet. Your latch was perfect. I looks like it was the original. Your service was easy and quick. I am very pleased with the whole process and the product.

Nice knob/screws are terrible!

The actual hardware piece is beautiful and much like the antique one in the storm door of our house. The screws that come with it are useless. They twisted into tornadoes and I had to cut them out if the holes. I had some other brass screws. They worked great.

Great look and operation

Bought one, liked it so much I now have 3, and about to order one more. The spring catch is really helpful and secure.

Ornate & Sturdy

Screws are too long

We like these latches, but the screws that are included are too long for nominal 1" lumber (i.e., 3/4" actual thickness). We had to fasten the latches with alternate screws so they wouldn't protrude through the backside of the cabinet doors. The finish on the alternate screws was a close match but not exact.
