Poor quality. Unsafe?

"Oil-rubbed bronze" is painted cheap metal. Lamp gets super-hot within minutes (w/ 70-watt bulb, not 100). Only on for an hour or two a day, has burned out 2 new bulbs in 2 weeks . After turning off, lamp makes odd popping noises for 10 minutes. Feels unsafe, spooky.

problems with the white paint on the interior

I want to like these, but I can't enjoy them since whenever I go to turn them on the paint falls down on me. I have them over my bed, and they look great, but each evening I now fall asleep speckled in white paint. I've only had them a few months, since June.

Not impressed with the fixture

Ordering and shipping with Build.com was convenient and easy as always. This fixture, however, was a disappointment. The inside of the dome has peeling paint. I've never returned anything to Build.com. I'm hoping the experience is as easy and convenient as the ordering processes.

Mod and gorgeous

I picked the lamp up directly from the store. Service was awesome.
