I’m very pleased with this bookshelf. So easy to assemble. Exactly what I expected and needed. Goes well with the coffee table I ordered last year.

Flaws in the staining/wood finishing

The unit is easy to put together, but where the shelving adjoins the sides some parts of it are not stained. This ruins the whole piece, you have to make sure you cover up these areas with books, etc.

Easy to assemble. Solid. Attractive piece of furniture. Nice pricing. Ordered online and happy with this purchase.

Well made; good looking piece

This piece looks more expensive than it is. Very pleased with the quality and sturdiness. Finish exactly as pictured-blends well with other mahogany-type pieces. I am a woman in my 60's, do not own a drill, and not really 'handy'. I was able to assemble it alone in about 1.5 hours. Well done, Winsome Wood. Appreciate the look and affordability as a retiree!

The actual piece is a very dark brown, not the pretty warm walnut in its picture. It's nice otherwise. Don't buy it unless you want a very dark piece.

Well built. Using as tv stand and our electric fireplace is down below. Easy to assemble.

I actually bought 2 of these shelves because they are so perfect for my home. One is used to hold my purse collection and one for my shoes. I plan to purchase another one as well. Extremely easy to assemble and very beautiful.

Returned this because the color did not blend with other walnut furniture. The color was more like cherry (red) than walnut.

Perfect Bookcase

Needed a bookcase for a specific area and I wanted one that looked good. This bookcase fit the bill and I was able to get it at a great price.

Couldn’t keep it due to strong odor

Shelf did not look like wood tone at all, very fake plastic looking. There was such a strong chemical odor coming from it that it stunk up our whole house. It was in my sons room and he had a migraine from the odor the next day. I got rid of it the day after buying it! I was so concerned that the odor was dangerous because it was so strong. The only good thing about this shelf is that it’s easy to put together.

Shelf was very plastic looking. Did not resemble wood at all. There was a strong odor on the product that stunk up our whole house and gave my son a migraine. We ended up getting rid of the shelf the day after we got it due to the odor.

Garbage.

Other five-star reviews are clearly fake. This is the worst piece of furniture I ever bought. I guess I should have known better.

It's fune

This bookshelf was easy to assemble and looks fine. It’s not high quality material, so know that this likely won’t be a lifelong shelf. For us, it works for now and that’s all we need. It does have a bit of a smell when first opened, so you might want to let it air out for a day or two. Overall, I’d recommend this, but know that this is in no way a “nice” piece of furniture. It works for the price!

Long storage/bookcase

It's an attractive, very sturdy bookcase; it wasn't difficult to assemble and the size as stated in the description was perfect as we needed all the space, but could not go beyond certain measurements. It is exactly as stated and we're very pleased with it.

Such an ease to assemble

This is semi nice bookcase ....I don't know why everyone saying this is so hard to assemble?? This was so easy to assemble I didn't even need to look at the directions . I was able to assemble less then 10 minutes . Don't let any negative comments here about assembling this bookcase discourage you ...It was so simple.,..The quality is not the greatest but it looks decent.

Absolutely Don’t Purchase!!

Terrible quality and quality control. The shelves only go in one way....upside down, raw side up. Once built, with all screws tightened, the top is not level and it wobbles terribly. Sure I could return it if I took it all apart or borrowed a truck to haul it to my local Target but it’s not worth the time. A throw away piece of furniture.

Finish isn't as nice as it should be for 80 bucks

I'd only recommend it if you do not want a wood grain look. Item is described as a wood finish, but it's more like a painted finish. I had my husband put it together and I wasn't home, so I couldn't stop him to return it - so now I'm stuck with it - and out 80 bucks. . It will do, I suppose - but I'd rather not have it. It's not bad if you like that look, but everything in my home is wood and this doesn't look right. The backing looks like wood, but the rest looks like it has been painted.

Not a long term shelf

We bought two of these shelves with the wicker baskets for our children's toys. I loved the look of them since they would be in the main room of our house. When we got them the colors did not match one was more brown and the other was a cherry wood color and looked awful. We ended up keeping them. Set up wasnt too bad instructions were easy. They seemed a little cheap but I wasn't too worried because they were for toys and kids would be playing with them. After about months we had to move them and it was awful they were leaning really bad and if you bump into them at all you get a leaning tower of Pisa effect. They are not worth it to me. The basket were nice at first but the wicker has started to break and that's not fun if you have a baby who puts everything in his mouth. I was very disappointed with this purchase and would not ever recommend them to anyone. I would find something else.

Pay Attention

I purchased this bookcase without really paying attention to what it was. The picture shows the unit with 6 baskets, and I assumed all pieces were in this order. Shame on me, it didnot include baskets. ( would have read " 7 pieces". Well, I can still use it so I did nothing. I read the reviews, which were pretty similar noting in most that it was a flimsy construction.m it arrived at my home, when expected , and I put it together with no problem. The only pieces that are flimsy are the 3 backing pieces. It didn't matter to me. The bookcase looks great! It holds a decent amount of weight, good size....... ( I have purchased 3 baskets separately ). I really like it!!

Don't waste your money!

I can't speak for all the products from this manufacturer, but the product I received was absolute junk. First of all the product description says all wood construction, which is the main reason I purchased the product. After pulling the first two pieces from the box, I noticed the pieces were split, and not just a little split but split almost in half, the pieces were not solid wood but compressed sawdust. The only pieces of this unit that were real wood are the shelves. The finish on the shelves is a dark brown, where as the finish on the sides is more of a cherry, does not match. Also the finish on the back panel was rubbed off in several places, as well as being made of cardboard. There was no damage to the box, so that tells me the product came this way from the manufacturer. VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THIS PROCUCT.
