This bookshelf is great! I get compliments on it all the time. We didn’t nail it into the wall and it stands just fine on its own and was easy to assemble. Would recommend!

This bookshelf is gorgeous. Some slight markings on the white shelves and weirdness in putting it together, but not a big deal for me. It's handled a move well. The recessed area of the top of each shelf hides plant lights perfectly.

The shelves are made of wood and were so easy to put together. I would have prefer to have screwdriver bit that worked but I didn't so I had to use what the box gave which was the only annoying part of the assembly phrase. I put it together with 1 person - it would have been faster with another person but only took a max of 30 minutes. The box it is shipped in is huge and will need two people to get it inside a house. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Highly recommend this shelf! It is very sturdy and easy to put together! Love the white shelves that don't show too much dust since we have it at our lakehouse that was important to us!

I love my bookshelves!!!Quality is good and shelves are nice sizes to hold most anything you want. Ordered natural wood but got pecan colored stain. Love the color tho so don't plan to make an exchange.

Lovely bookshelf!

The wood feels really nice, and overall it feels very sturdy. Once you figure out how to fit your fingers to tighten the shelves in, it all comes together actually pretty fast. I think it was finished in under 30 minutes for sure.

Calm and nice design

The image of the bookshelf looks almost same with this picture. Some screw holes were not perfect parallel, but it was ok…. The shelf color looks calm and best matched to wooden flooring

This table is so cute and is excellent quality. It was so heavy in the box we could barely get it in. Not too difficult to put together and it is so sturdy and nice. I LOVE it. Great for mid-century modern or boho decor. I took off one star because the top has a slight yellow tint, but I think it does say off white so I guess it’s off white.

Part Issues

Overall, I was dissatisfied. (1) One of the shelves was the wrong part (a duplicate of one of the other shelves); thus, doesn't fit properly. When requesting a replacement part, I was required to disassemble the shelf and send it all back, which left me in a decision of whether to repack it or try to make the current material work. (2) When torquing the bolts, they seem to pop, which I surmise is the wood glue breaking, but I'm unsure. The connections still seem to be holding, for now. (3) The MDF shelves seem to scratch easily, so be careful when placing items on the surface.

Looks great in our mid-century modern living room. The white shelves are a perfect accent for our white leather sofa. My husband put these together with no problems. I purchased a matching desk from another store and they go very well together in the room.

Excellent Value for a lovely shelf unit

I ordered the Madison Park Avalon Shelf/ Bookcase to fit a particular space for displaying my collection of Raku Ceramics. It fits beautifully in the room and harmonizes with our vintage Mid Century Modern furnishings. Instructions for assembly were included, but were not necessary. Assembly was straight forward and only took about 30 minutes. All parts were numbered and the fit was obvious and intuitive. I'm very happy with the Madison Park Avalon Shelf/Bookcase.

Many dings/black mold in packaging.

I don't often leave reviews. This is a great size and shape and the finish is lovely. However I am shocked by the number of marks and dings on this thing. I unpacked and assembled carefully in a white carpet, and had to very strategically hide all these blemishes. The packaging also had a lot of black mold, as does one of the shelves. Not worth returning because I need a bookshelf ASAP, but if you're looking for perfection look elsewhere.

This is a really nice piece. A lot of other reviewers mentioned the shelves were an off white. I think this may have been fixed my the manufacturer. My shelves are white. It’s not perfect, as you can see from the close up photo, but that’s nitpicking. Easy to assemble by myself.

Nice bookshelf but not good quality for assembling

The bookshelf looks nice. The white shelves look a bit cheap but still nice. Most of the pieces however have holes drilled imprecisely, which leads to the shelves not aligning properly and the bookshelf being a bit crooked (see photos). In particular, one of the shelves didn't match the screw holes at all, and when contacting customer support I was only offered to either disassemble and send back the whole piece (a lot of work and likely would get imprecise holes again), or to take it to a local place to get it fixed myself.

I ordered two of these for the office, and overall really like them. One of them seems to tilt a little, and I can't figure out why. I even took it apart and reassembled it to check everything was facing the correct way, and it continues to lean. With some strategic staging of items on the shelves, it's not noticeable unless you are looking for it. The other one doesn't have this issue.
