Based on the horrible color which is yellow, not ivory, with orange striping around the inner rectangle, I would give this 1 star. I gave it 2 stars because the quality is nice. I got a small size, so it is not worth returning, but I won't be using this. I have a lot of the Safavieh wool rugs, and this is the first one that is downright ugly! But if you are looking for an orange and yellow rug, go for it.

Wrong color, won't last. I'm disappointed with this rug. First, it's not ivory, it is beige. I decided it was easier to live with it than pack it up and ship it back, but I should have. I have vacuumed this rug 6 times in the course of 3 weeks, and each time it filled my cannister to the packed point. I believe now that this will happen for as long as I have this rug, which won't be for long as it's already showing signs of wearing out. Pulled threads and pillings are becoming more apparent each day. I've been vacuuming carpets my whole life -- this is not normal. Also, it smelled very bad until I drenched it with carpet deodorizer powder and vacuumed again.

This rug is beautiful. The colors are very much like described, a background of ivory (you could also call it light tan), with other prominent colors of green, gold, beige/taupe, sage and wine. The pattern is bright but not too busy and fits right in with my furniture. As described by others, this rug is very heavy and is delivered folded up which unfortunately left some wrinkles. I used the steam method as described by Safavieh and the rug is getting flatter. The reason for four stars and not five is that there are a bunch of nubs sticking out from the rug as if the wool strands are too tall. I'm too afraid to cut them and will wait a litttle longer to see if vacuuming might get them to retract back into the surface.
