I ordered several different sizes of this rug. The pattern looks great on the smaller and mid sized rugs. However, they just blow up the print for the larger rug which ends up looking pixelized and low quality. The rug is soft and when not displayed near the same model smaller rug, it looks okay.

Better than expected!

Rug arrived as pictured - colors were exactly as I expected. Like some reviews, the ‘wear’ does appear more on one side/in one area rather than all over, but in my opinion this makes it look legit vintage as rugs don’t wear evenly. My biggest surprise was the feel - some reviewers claimed the rug was too thin and not ‘plush’ but I found the rug to be thicker than the ‘washable care’ rugs I’ve had - and at this price point I was surprised that it felt like a quality rug! Would it be nicer with a pad underneath? Sure, but I honestly think it’s thick enough and feels quite comfortable. Def will be ordering another for the dining room.

Vintage charm

Love this rug! I first saw it on vacation - it was in our rental house. The label on the back was still attached so I did an online search and found it on Rugs Direct for a great price! I ordered it in the 4x6 size for my home office. It arrived right after we got home it great condition. Even though it’s a printed rug it looks and feels like a regular rug. The fading is fairly strong in some areas but it adds to the vintage charm. My mom who is a really good decorator loves it too! I’m in the process of painting my office to match the blue/teal color in the rug. I’m excited to put it all together soon AND order more rugs from Rugs Direct!

Potential buyers should pay close attention to the colors. In the picture, the light area in the upper middle of the rug looks less faded than it actually is. On the floor and in my estimation, it appears much lighter and looks like a faded rug. If that was the intent, it worked.

Just what we needed

The rug is very comfortable underfoot. We used 4 of them for our staircase runner, using both carpet tape and long staples. Makes the staircase look great, and it's a lot more quiet and inviting. The colors are gorgeous, each on their own very pretty, but yet at a farther distance, the colors are subdued and mingled enough that any other decorating scheme will work fine with the runners. A great choice!! And at a great sale price! Win-Win-Win!!

Was nervous -- but GREAT purchase!

I was nervous about investing this much money in a large rug I couldn't touch or see in person. But, Amber was highly recommended by a friend, and I had just purchased a much less expensive Amber rug to test the waters and decide if I liked the intentional "worn" look that's part of the rug's shading. This was a SLAM DUNK! The colors and design make me feel warm and fuzzy and it's exactly what I needed to get the interior design juices flowing. It's beautiful with my existing cool/pastel furniture and black leather chair and I can't wait to hang a painting to complete my living room. Shipping was fast, but be prepared to pay >$100 to ship the largest rug size.

I'm so excited for my Rugs that arrived!!! I had high expectations and was NOT disappointed. The colors come thru just as in the photos and even better when they arrive and you unroll them!! I will definitely order again from Rugs Direct...I'm already looking! Teresa

I have a bright airy off-white room with neutrals and this is the perfect pop of color to bring warmth to the space. The rug is everything I imagined. Love the greens and blues. I hesitated because my husband tends to prefer a soft pile, and while this rug is not at all offensive to the touch of your feet, it does not have a pile. The rich gorgeous color makes up for it. I’m so glad i bought it. As for the “antiqued” look, well, I intentionally wanted that effect. Once you put it in you room with your furniture, it just looks like its mean to be there. The fading doesn’t stand out to me as a defect. I love it!

I loved this rug. I bought one for my daughter's apartment and she told me how nice it looked, so I bought one for my breakfast room to protect my wood floor from the dogs. The rug was beautiful and very light which was helpful as it was easy to place it. I liked that it was thin and light vs. my other more expensive rugs, and the vacuum ran over easily without lifting it. I didn't use rug pad as I liked how flat it laid on the wood floor, but I did put strips of rug pad on the corners to help them stay put.

I was impressed with this mug, I like the softness of the material, the coloring is beautiful and makes my space brighter and cozy (previously had a dark blue rug in that hallway). I will likely order a rug pad to go underneath but I was planning on doing that regardless given the low pile count on this rug. It does slip on the wood floor so I will pick up rug tape as well. Already ordered a second :)

Beautiful colors, and quality

We were looking for a reasonably priced rug for our dining room. Fell in love with the colors on this one. Quality felt much nicer than we had anticipated for the price point. The only disappointment was that the area that shows the “distressed” look was at one end of the rug and it looks a little odd. We realized this is printed design and this will vary from rug to rug. Overall we are very pleased with this purchase.

Some pros some cons

This rug was a mixed bag. The good: Loved the colors, design, distressed look. Additionally, the design disguises potential stains, spills etc. It’s more of a weaved rug so no tufties or strands popping up and therefore easy to vacuum. It’s also surprisingly soft for a thinner rug with no traditional backing. The bad: this rug really requires a rug pad. I had a basic nonslip one already but because the rug is so thin a thicker felted pad would go a long way if you want that nice “cushy” feel. But that’s another expense $$. My biggest problem though is the painted design. I don’t know if it’s just the nature of the rug having some flexibility or the actual painting process but the design on the rug is slightly skewed. If you stand on one side and look down the linear pattern and edges of the rug they’re not straight. I tried to stretch it into the correct alignment to no avail. Not sure if they all have this problem or if mine was a fluke. I deliberated for a couple days whether to return it but ultimately decided that with furniture on it, it wasn’t completely obvious. I also got it on sale so I decided to keep it. Time will tell on durability.
