Large wheels & bigger scooter a bonus

8 year old boy is enjoying the scooter. It was put together without any problems. The larger wheels are definitely a positive for the street & rocks & grass. Happy with the purchase.

Amazing

I bought this for my daughter birthday. Due to us living on a farm and gravel road, this scooter is absolutely perfect. Works just like a bike for riding on our roads. Also way cheaper than Amazon

Nice scooter, but has minor issues

Won't let us post review due to sensitive language. Bottom line

The scooter is solid, easy to assemble and rides really well. I am 200 lbs and feel completely safe riding the scooter around the neighborhood. I have notice that many people will put the forks backwards on the scooter and then complaint that the front wheel is rubbing on the front brake cable, but that's not the scooters fault. I wish the company made a video of the assembly, that would helpful for most buyers.

Great scooter!

Got this for our son as he outgrew his old razor type scooter. We live in the country and he loves it because he can drive it on our gravel and grass and even in the snow. No more being confined to the small concrete slab.

fell apart

my daughter loved this scooter, using it daily, riding between two buildings on property. 11 years old, 90lbs, back and forth. At first the scooter needed regular tightening, especially the handle bar. The brakes needed repairing, and eventually after a month, the brake handle fel off from a welded screw that slipped out. Thenthe rear wheel collapsed off the frame, the scooter frame broke apart. A safety issue. I am attempting a refund. IT WAS FUN, for about a month. Quality poor.

scooters are adjustable to grow with your child

easy to assemble, [with basic bicycle mechanical knowledge, attach tires, adjust and align brakes, insert and adjust handlebar] i ordered 4, 1 had a missing nut, most likely fell out of a hole in the box, others had nuts that had come off but were in the bottom of the box, so unpack carefully, 2 had shipping scrapes, [not unlike the ones your kids will put on them when they knock them over or don't use the kickstand . . . ]. grand kids loved them, and the scooters are adjustable to grow with them so they will enjoy them for many years. Large tires allow for off road an over grass riding, Great Purchase

Poor customer service target

Very cheap product. Arrived with extensive damage, including scratches on the frame. Target rep was very unhelpful in figuring out a return that would work for me. I would strongly avoid this product, and will avoid any purchase from target sold from a third party vendor in the future. NOT the good customer service I have come to expect from target.

Braking, steering and balance

So glad this scooter is an option! We have a 10 year old with some motor skill delays who refuses to practice riding a bike. I love that he can use this scooter to master the basics of two-hand braking, steering and balance -- all-the-while being on a trick-ready, solidly-built scooter that holds it's own in coolness factor. I know our 12-year old will also love it once she's able to get her hands on it!

I'm a kid again

First of all, this was pretty much exactly what I was looking for (and seem hard to find)... scooters with large tires, which roll better on rough roads and off-road. I purchased 2 of these (as seen in the photo). I liked this model versus others with different size wheels because I felt it would be easier for long term maintenance to have the wheels the same size, and I figured it would ride better. The assembled was pretty straight-forward, but as a kid I tinkered with and repaired my own bikes. I also have a pretty high mechanical aptitude. I can see the assembly being a challenge for many people. So, you may want to ask a friend or take it to a bike shop if you are not mechanically inclined. they came with MULTIPLE stickers that just say "SCOOTER" already placed on the frame. My suggestion to the manufacturer... Save yourself some assembly time and just include the stickers in the box, allowing your customers to choose whether or not to use them. The frame is solid (which is most important). The black rubber/plastic foot plate is flexible, but feels sturdy enough. Overall... My complaints are relatively minor. I have enjoyed riding the scooter and it gives us something to do together that is active and more exciting than just walking. I'm 40 and riding it makes me feel like a kid again (which is a healthy feeling for any adult). I would recommend this scooter.

Research paid off

Bought for daughter who just turned 6. She has been wanting a scooter like she sees other kids riding. I did some research and found this Aosom scooter which seemed so much better to me and my husband. Well, our daughter is ecstatic! Not only does she now have a scooter, but she likes it so much better than the other type. It rides smoother and faster and fits her so much better.

Great scooter. Garbage instructions.

Arrived on time. Everything was in the box. Purchases for my 8 year old 90th-100th percentile son. He weighs 105lbs at 54" tall and fits perfectly. It even held my 289lb self. The scooter itself is great but it is an utter pain in the neck to assemble. The instructions are useless garbage that don't even show all the steps. I had to look up a video on YouTube which was still garbage. 90% of putting this thing together was just me figuring it out. Wish the wheels has been pre-installed because the breaks are impossible to work around when trying to install the wheels and they don't give you any info on the garbage instructions on how to adjust the breaks to where they need to be. Wheels also came deflated so I had to inflate them. At least they sent some basic tools with it but your better off using your own just to lessen your frustration. I still don't have the breaks correct. The front breaks grind the wheel and the back breaks are too loose. If you have any kind of experience tinkering with bikes and scooters then you'll probably be able to assemble this with no problem but if not you'll need a lot of patience and a helping set of hands.

Handle bars move

I liked that the deck was long enough for me to place my foot and have the other turned to the side for the heel to fit behind it. I didn't like the brakes, I didn't like how the handle bars moved constantly and weren't stable. That's very dangerous. Having the whole set of handle bars move forward or backwards while I was riding made me want to stop. Another thing is this isn't very good with coasting. You have to put tons more effort into kicking.

Definitely a 5 STAR for the price!

My older son rode scooters semi pro so i have an idea on quality. Its not as light as a more professional scooter but for an 11 year old its perfect. Very durable and solid, no worries its going to collapse or break anytime soon. ALSO the wheels and bearings are higher quality which makes a huge difference! Totally a 5 Star for the price.

My 8 year old son told me FIVE STARS, MOM!

I am writing this review on behalf of my 8 year old son. He told me to give the scooter five stars. He got this scooter for his birthday and LOVES it. This scooter is a big improvement to his old scooter (another brand). The foot board is substantially wider, and it is more durable and sturdy over all. It is very well made. It makes for great outside play and tricks and jumps. Thumbs up from the 8 year old!!!

Like bike tires

I read a review, the mother wrote her child was 5'5" she attached photo. By that review alone I purchased this scooter. My adult child is under 5' with special needs. We had one of those smaller Razor but those TIRES are only meant for streets and sidewalks. I wanted this kind of scooter for the air up tires. She won't have a problem if she rides on grass or rocks. This scooter was easy to build with no problems. It rides smooth. I like this size for her.

Aosom kids and teen ride on scooter

I purchase the Aosom kids and teens ride on scooter for my seven-year-old granddaughter's birthday. I did not want to get her a scooter with small wheels and looked like a small child's scooter. This scooter fit the ticket with bicycle style wheels and front and rear brakes. It looks good and is very well built. She was totally excited when she saw it.

Well designed scooter

Bought this scooter for my 6-year old grandson. He's 48" tall and I have the handlebars at the lowest position and it's a good height. Assembly was fairly easy but you should use a set of wrenches/sockets rather than the basic tool provided. You will also need to put air in the tires. Take your time adjusting the brake calipers on the front an back to make sure they don't rub on the rim when the brakes are not engaged. I had to play with the cable pinch bold at the caliper to adjust the slack; then I fine-tuned with the caliper and brake lever adjusters. I was looking for a good scooter that will last a couple of years and one that will help him lean how to use hand brakes on a bike.

Better than the mongoose version.

I should've listened to my first mind, and got this scooter. The bigger tires (16" vs 8") are way more stable vs the Mongoose scooter, plus it has a kickstand, and a little easier to assemble. I wish people stop with the fake reviews. There's nothing wrong with this scooter. If you want one, this scooter is a better buy. I returned the Mongoose, and got this. Much happier with my purchase.
