Must have for oranges

This item is a must have if you love oranges and want to make peeling them much easier it cuts through the skin with ease our old plastic one used to make hard work peeling an orange this just cuts its way round the orange in no time would definitely recommend this item very well made and a nice weight which helps with the job in hand well worth the money.

Fun and useful

Like all Alessi products this is a stylish item. It's quirky and fun but also really useful! We bought one some years ago and have given as gifts which have been much appreciated.

A stylish useful ornament

It looks good. Anyone who spots it wants to know what it is. It's easy to demonstrate how useful it is for peeling an orange without getting a bitter taste in the mouth or sticky fingers.

Loving Alessi

I love the shape of this item but find it really hard to use for it's purpose. It's hard to grip. I love Alessi though so I forgive them.

Good, but not the best

I had a Tupperware orange peeler for many years, which worked well, but it eventually got lost. I wanted to try the Alessi version, as it was stainless steel instead of plastic, and due to the shape, I hope less likely to be misplaced. It is very sharp, and care needs to be taken not to stab a digit. I would not recommend it for children. Another point is the absence of a flat stem to lift the peel after scoring the surface of the fruit. I now use a teaspoon stem for this purpose. So although the Alessi design is appealing, it is not as good as the Tupperware type of crochet hook

I brought this because of the reviews and yes it does work but not easy.

Easy peeler

I really enjoy an orange but got frustrated using a fruit knife - this is ideal goes just deep enough to make peeling easy.

Great, interesting gift

I bought this for my dad for Christmas as he loves kitchen gadgets and has an orange most days. I expected it to be much bigger, but It's really well made and very sharp.

Interesting little present

When I saw this I knew it would be a great stocking filler for my husband at Christmas. He has an orange everyday so I am sure he will be amused and delighted with this. The unique design will look great on a shelf and I am sure will be a conversation piece.

Alessi .. says it all!

I just love anything Alessi for my kitchen as they're always superb products and better than anything else. To be honest I bought this after my favourite oranges Navels had finished for the year, so I haven't yet used it. But after all my other Alessi products I have I am guessing it will do a great job!
