I bought it in July and won't use it until late November, so the box and products inside look good, but I need to wait until December to review how well it works.

The purpose of a de-icer is to melt a hole in the ice to allow oxygen to enter and waste gases to escape. The Aquascape device has an indicator light which glows red when it is heating and blue when it isn't. I like this feature very much, but because of it I know that it starts to heat up when the temperature is in the 45 degree range. This is quite unnecessary, since there is no danger of icing . I can’t provide a proper review as I have never received the product. I am unable to reach someone at pondonline, emails are not getting answered… webform are totally ignored, phone calls goes automatically to voicemail and I don’t get called back from the voicemails I let them… and they filter the review as my review didn’t get published… hope this one will… my only recommandation… do not purchase from them, they will stole your money…and never deliver… I have waited for several weeks/months now… and now I don’t know what else to do…

If you have Koi fish as I do you want the best to help them survive the cold winter.

Aquascape pond de icer 300w

This is a 5 star product! It is well built with a long power cable and the red on / blue off indicator light on top is a great feature.

This Deicer only lasted threw one season ! The temperature control is not working anymore it will not shut off ! Going to try & Go back on the company for it has a warranty of 3 years but I forgot to register it with them so i am guessing they will do nothing !

New De-icer works perfectly protecting my Koi fish.

iI put the de-icer in my Koi pond as soon as I opened the box. The blue light went on after I plugged it in the outdoor socket. It was almost 60 degrees here that day. Later that night when i took my fur kids out I checked on it and the light was red. It definitely cooled off. We're expecting snow and sleet on Thursday, I don't have to worry now that my fish will suffer from a totally iced pond. My pond is 1500 gallons. Thank you. I will probably order a 2nd one for next year, my other de-icer is old.
