Great for Goldfish

I have Comet Goldfish and their tank is always dirty until now... 2 weeks and clean still

My filter was working fine for the first month. Now air keeps getting into the filter and the output flow is barely a trickle. Not worth the money.

If you are looking for a good filter for turtles then this one is the way to go. Exceptional water flow. My baby map turtles love swimming the current it creates.

Great replacement for my emperor 400

I'm currently using it after my emperor 400 started leaking and luckily didn't ruin my wooden floors. I like the rings to prevent any tubes from coming off so I'm not worried over coming home to my bedroom being flooded. It took a little work to set it up since I don't have much space to set it up in, but I enjoy working on this stuff. No issues with it so far and my fish like to ride the streams (I used the tubes instead of the polishing filter or spout). Everything being included in this set up is very convenient and good for anyone not used to these filters. I hope I don't need to change my rating and that I don't run into any problems so soon.

good filter, but you have to add stuff

I purchased in Feb (today is 3/31) and set up as advised by Aqueon. It was easy to set up. Having been able to use for a little while, I realized the water going in the canister and out was the same color

Duped by a “quality” brand

I NEVER write reviews so this should tell you how bad this filter is. I ordered this and setup wasn’t too difficult at first. I followed all the steps and before too long was ready to try it. It didn’t work. After multiple attempts to get the water moving through the pump I finally got it going by pouring additional water down the in-tube

Works pretty well

I got this for a single turtle. I was hoping I could get 2 to 3 months without having to change the filter and definitely 4 to 6 months without having to clean the tank. Unfortunately this turtle just likes to do a lot of number two and so the tank is constantly dirty. Well technically it's cloudy with poo. I should have got the upgraded one I guess.

I love this product, the 2 water Polishing Units,make always the water clear, quiet canister, A lot room for extra media,I have more filter canister, but this is the number one i going to replace my older canister, I hi recommend this product,

Very easy set up and quiet

My canister arrived today and it took me about 45 minutes to get through the box to check that all items were there, reading the instructions, assembly, and then priming the canister pump. The canister filter has three return water features: direct flow back, spray bar, and a polisher. I chose the latter return feature. The set up was very easy, though I will note in order to attach hoses to the intake and output attachments do soak hose in very warm water as those attachments are tough to get on. The attachments to the quick releases are a breeze. Don't know why it was so tough on the other attachments. But once on, easy to seal with the tightening twists. For priming it is pretty smooth. I had to end up opening the vent two times to let enough trapped air in the canister out in order for the water to flow.

Aqueon canister filter

This thing is a beast, I love how you can change up the filter media to whatever you want. I changed it the carbon in one level to purigen. Never had more clear water.

Great filter

This is a great filter! It works very well to keep my red ear slider tank clean. It runs quite and doesn't have a very big footprint.

I keep it on a 55 gallon with two AquaClear 110s, no leaking in a month so far, strong pump & very quiet. I just purchased my second one. Update: 01/2020 I have 3 of these for now on my 55 gallon tanks. Quiet, powerful, long lasting so far. I use that hang on basket thing & add polyester filling to polish the water, I use a pre-filter on the intake & open the canisters every 4 months to clean them. Love this Canister filter.

easy set-up, this filter seems to be just what I needed.

No cons, only positive< I just hope it works for a long time.
