Good value

This is one of the cheaper steel mailboxes, but we like that it is large and we like the white color. It doesn't always close perfectly though. It fit nicely on the post I purchased from another brand. Easy to install. Good warranty!

Large, steel mailbox...just the right size!

I had a small black mailbox. My packages %26 papers were always getting folded %26 stuffed in the mailbox. I decided I needed a bigger one. I love it. It is sturdy, closes tight but not too tight %26 my mail is no longer getting folded %26 stuffed into the box. Who knew a new bigger mail box would give me a smile when I go out to pick up my mail.

Great for the price

It's a nice big mailbox, sturdily made. I've learned in the past that it's wise to caulk the interior before installing it on your fence post so mail doesn't get wet during a heavy rain. I wish the latch was of higher quality and the door closed more securely. This is the third time I've bought one of these - mine keep being vandalized. For the price, this can't be beat.

This product is amazing. You put this box out on a pole in front of your house (pole and screws not included) and then this little white truck comes by and puts papers inside it every day except Sunday. Some papers are very nice - personalized memos from friends and family, or pamphlets filled with information pertinent to my interests. But some of the papers are not so great - they at first appear to be generous invitations, but actually they're just stores trying to get your money. I thought about docking a star for this annoyance, but I don't think Home Depot's product has any control over this.

Overall, the mailbox is fine. It's of a nice size, but still fit in the limited space I had available for the more-or-less standard, smaller, suburban mailbox it replaced. The red flag didn't stay vertical when I first installed it, but by fiddling with it a little, I found there was an internal adjustment that could increase the friction on it. It now works fine. Likewise, the door catch needed a little adjustment so that the door stayed closed. These are minor things a typical homeowner can handle.The finish looks OK, but my perception is the paint may be a little thin in places. In practice, this mailbox will probably last longer that I will. It's very similar in design and material to the one it replaced, and that one was 35 years old.
