The fixture looks good, but the grill is made of thin aluminum. Don't expect it to protect the glass.

Nice light

I install these on boat docks, I used to get a Portfolio brand from Lowe’s, but they went nonstock. The frosted lense allows for any style bulbs and I prefer frosted/dimmable. Only negative is it’s very thin metal, I was used to a thicker, more durable mount, but they look great.

Works great, just as described.

Just what I needed for a loft, it’s perfect! It matches the rustic theme of my cabin. It looks like it will be really durable to have around children. Was very easy for myself as a older lady to install, directions were very simple.

Absolute junk. They are supposed to be water resistant. They fill up with water and rust out. More lousy cheap stuff from China.

Great light fixture, looks good too. At first glance out of the box, I thought it was cheap plastic and that it would warp or dry rot in the sun. But it's not. Appears to be aluminum or something. Installs as easy as any other. Can use the bulb of your choice, just watch some of your LED's that can heat up in an enclosed area. Otherwise lens is frosted glass, and it has rubber seals to meat the housing to wall and lens to housing.

This is a good accent light for around the garage door. It comes with a rubber seal that helps keep out moisture if mounted on a flat surface. I also have one of these on the inside of my garage as it is protected if it gets bumped. It gives a fair amount of light, but I like a bit more light to see around the inside of the garage so I have other lights when working on projects. It is better suited for the outside to have above or on both sides of the garage door. The frosted glass diffuses the light just enough that it does not interfere when driving into the garage. The back is insulated to keep it from heating up the surface it is mounted to.

Just received this light fixture. There are 2 phillips head screws holding the glass and cage in place. I managed to get one screw out but the other one just wouldn't come out. In the end I put the first screw back in and I am returning this garbage to the store for a refund. Don't waste your money on this item, pay the extra for a better quality.

Great lighting

I purchased this light a month ago for use in a stairwell closet. It gives off sufficient light and the caged bulb protects against damage.

Lights are as expected. Seem to work well. Only real concerns are that the rubber gasket that goes next to the moting surface has a slight interference with the mounting ears for the glass. Nothing a quick cut with a utility knife didn't fix. And second the insulation inside isn't very durable. Most fell off during installation.

Not the right fit

I bought these lights to replace the existing ones in my house that are of an identical appearance. Everything seemed to be going well (size, material composition and center screw connection) until I tried to place the new fixture atop the existing mounting bracket that was affixed to the wall. Even though the mounting bracket is very slim, there is not enough depth on the base of these lights to account for the mounting bracket and wire connections. The only way this product works is if the mounting bracket is flush to the exterior wall.
