Sleek faucet

This fairfield vet received great reviews and I was excited to receive it but I liked another faucet better.

Gorgeous industrial design

We fell in love with the entire Arris line. This faucet is beautiful and the valve is so smooth. A little on the pricey side, but that's okay if it's quality (and it is indeed). Unfortunately the one we received had a small gouge in the neck would not accept it, since at I expect a flawless finish. Wasn't impressed with the very dirty and well-used Moen box it came in - looked like it has been kicking around for years and years; opened many times by people. Not impressed with Moen's packaging in general and will not be using their products in our other bathrooms. Delta and Kohler have excellent packaging (items wrapped in bubble wrap, tissue paper, etc.) whilst Moen's stuff comes unprotected in a cardboard box! My Arris faucet was packed loose inside a big Moen box - no wonder it got damaged.

Worth. Every. Penny.

This is my absolute favorite lav faucet. The spout gets way out to the middle of the sink so splashing is minimal. The finish is divine and the style is off-the-charts beautiful.

Faulty water stream / aerator

After minimal use over the span of a month, there already seems to be an aerator issue as the right side of the water stream is splashing outwards and then dripping from the faucet when turned off. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this expensive faucet and regret purchasing.

5 Stars

I purchased two of these faucets. They have been installed now in use, for a good while now. So far so good! I really appreciate the design. Simple and classic style.

Contemporary quality faucet

This is a very high quality, contemporary Moen faucet. The single handle control is solid and precise and the spout is positioned out and close to the centre of the sink. Many other faucets have the spout too close to the back of the sink which impedes use. If you wish to break the law, the flow restrictors are very easy to remove. If you just install the screen only, you will have a strong flow of water.

Using a one handle faucet instead of two is actually a lot more intuitive. Think about a 2 handle faucet. If you want to change the temperature do you increase the hot or reduce the cold? So for example you are brushing your teeth and one hand is tied up with a foamy tooth brush, who wants to be juggling two handles while testing/sensing the temperature with wild swings? A single handle avoids all of that and provides a much more predictable adjustment. A higher mounted spout is great for every purpose. It is frustrating when you are washing your hands to keep bumping into the wash bowl the way you do with low profile spouts. The single hole creates a very clean look if that is the type of mount your sink has. There is an available plate if you are doing a modification from a double hole type of sink. This Moen S43001 Arris One Handle bathroom faucet chrome vs. Moen S6700 90 degree low arc bathroom faucet chrome. The S43001 has a handle on the right side so you can completely operate this faucet but if you are brushing your teeth with your right hand it is kind of awkward to reach over to the right side mounted handle with your left hand. The S6700 on the other hand (no pun intended) has a top mounted handle that allows all of us to be ambidextrous no matter which hand we are using. So with a single flat handle on the top it swivels left and right for temperature control, and by lifting up on the same handle it controls the flow making it universally, and easily accessible not matter which hand you use. Both of these faucets easily clear the preferred height for usage but the S43001 is approximately an inch taller, and an inch longer out into the bowl. Now lets talk about the Moen Limited Lifetime Warranty for home use. (As opposed to commercial use which has a 5 year limitation) Moens guarantees their products/this faucet against drips or defects in the finish. I had a personal experience with this. I have Moen single handle showers and one of them developed a leak. I contacted Moen and all they asked for the model number and what the nature of the behavior was that was causing the leak. They didnt even ask me for proof of purchase. They took my name and address and sent me the necessary pieces. I installed them and then discovered a small plastic piece that was also cracked so they sent me the other rebuild kit no questions asked. It works perfect now and that shower is over 15 years old. So for me I prefer the S6700 because of the universality of the position of the handle on top even though the S43001 is an inch taller and the spout is an inch longer. They both more than adequately reach into the good clearance zone for all intents and purposes. The other decision is looks. That is a personal one because one has flat surfaces and the other round. The S6700 is also about 20% cheaper. You cant go wrong with Moen, especially with their lifetime guarantee. They are both highly recommended.

If, like me, you spend a lot of time watching HGTV and drooling over the high end finishings used on shows like Property Brothers, you will be impressed with this faucet. It's night and day between what I had in my bathroom before. Just the motion when you turn the handle is amazing - very smooth and not tight as with a cheaper faucet. And it looks great! It's also very functional, being high enough above the sink to give you room to put your hands beneath it, not something you can do with some faucets, especially with a shallow sink thrown in. The flow is great, as advertised, especially compared to the faucet it replaced, and I disagree about the finish looking like plastic, but maybe quality is inconsistent. I have no way of knowing, just that mine looks great. I have no complaints at all, from how easy the instructions are to follow to the faucet itself, both appearance and function. I agree with the reviewer who pointed out no faucet will impress everybody. This one is very modern, which suits me just fine. I would say that if approx. $300 doesn't sound like too much to spend on a faucet that you can't go wrong with this one. I don't see you getting the same quality for less.
