[Rewarded Review] Love This Scale!

Love this scale! It can weigh upto 15 lbs! The smooth glass surface is easy to clean. Buttons and display are easy to read. Like that it has an on/off botton and not just auto shutoff. Nice non-slip "feet" to keep it in place.

Great, until it wasn't

I loved the scale until recently (2-3 months) when it decided to become possessed. I have changed the batteries so it's not that. It varies in its measurements by 2+ grams, all the time now. That is, I will weigh something then look at it again 20-30 seconds later and the number will shift down. Sometimes, it then shifts back--just looking at it--and then down again...or not. No, this isn't a halloween prank. Disappointed because I love that it matches my red oven knobs.

Disappointed

This had only 5-star reviews, so I was really excited to use it. I do a lot of baking, and always measure my ingredients for accuracy. I was disappointed with this pretty quickly because you have to push the tare button several times to get it to go back to zero. I subsequently discovered that this scale does not consistently give the same weight. Sometimes, you can weigh something 5 times, and it will give you a different weight every time. Other times, it seems to do fine. You just never know, so I feel like I can't trust it. So between the tare button being unpredictable and the weights fluctuating, it seems very unreliable, which is annoying in general, especially for a scale that is $35. Maybe I just got a bad one? Either way, it's going back.

[Rewarded Review] Great scale

This is a great kitchen scale! It is perfect for weighing anything in the kitchen. It is light weight and has a great stylish look. The digital numbers are easy to read and the glassy surface is easy to clean.

Too touchy but not sensitive enough to weight changes

I didn't love this scale. I found the touch sensor for the on-off switch too sensitive, so that I sometimes turned it off by mistake and had to re-weigh my flour. On the other hand, making minor adjustments to the amount of flour did not seem to yield changes to the displayed weight, and then there would be a big jump in the displayed weight when I would adjust a little more. I think the other one from Escali is better (Essential Digital Scale). But my husband likes this one, because he finds it easier to read the display.

[Rewarded Review] Great scale

Aesthetically pleasing kitchen scale. It’s really cute and pretty easy to use. It seems to be pretty accurate but I haven’t used it for baking yet. Love the pretty mint green color. The hold feature is really nice too.

[Rewarded Review] Cute and love the hold button

I really like this scale. It’s big, but not too big for a kitchen scale. The color is a nice light sage green, which is just fun. The only reason I took off a star was because it’s a touch screen for the buttons and they can be a little tricky sometimes. I loooooove the hold feature for things that are too big for the scale! I can finally weigh things that are bigger and still know what they weigh!- Brilliant!!

Good scale, sometimes have to press tare button multiple times

This is a nice scale overall. The controls are kind of in-between a touchscreen and actual buttons, so I'm still figuring out how hard to press. It also sometimes doesn't tare correctly. You'll press the tare button and it will display a negative number instead of 0. Pressing it again usually fixes this. It's not a big deal.

Headscratcher for inexperienced user

I am new to using weight instead of volume, so this might not be a problem.

Good purchase

I love the design of this scale — it’s large enough to handle large mixing bowls which I like, and the numbers are large and easy to read. The scale seems very responsive and quick to register weights and tare adjustments. Plus it’s sleek and looks great.

Attractive scale with nice, large area for weighing, but I don't find the touch screen to be responsive enough. There's also a delay with the tare button...if/when it works. I had to replace my first kitchen scale that I have used constantly for many years. This was one of the more expensive scales I considered, and it's disappointing.

Changes unit

Bought because it’s so beautiful and even though I didn’t really need a new scale. I noticed today that scale would change units while I was measuring out products! No wonder my starter has been off. No telling what I was feeding it. Maybe this is a fluke because only one other reviewer mentioned it as an issue. May exchange and hope for a better result, but not sure because I don’t really need it.

Dead in under a year

Kept in great condition but it died completely after about 7 months. Also the tare button is on the scale itself so you have to press it extremely lightly so it doesn’t register the weight of your finger. Bad design, bad product, way overpriced. The solar charger thing didn’t seem to do anything either

I love that there’s room

I love that there’s room for a large bowl. If you want to use a REALLY big bowl, there a function to hold the weight while you lift it to view the weight. It also has functions for liquid measurements.

I Love the Escali scale. I had a good scale before this one but it was smaller and when doing a Tare measurement the bowl would cover up the numbers.

Every baker needs one.

Beautiful color and it’s the best scale I’ve ever owned. I was tired of the cheaper ones and this one is perfect. It has a sleek clean profile. Easy to clean and change the weight preferences, plus I can see the read out when using a large mixing bowl.

Christmas Cookie Season

Purchased this scale to help with my yearly Christmas Cookies. The size, color, material, ease of use and clean up were all excellent as well as the price, definitely a 5 star product. I am now hooked, no more tedious measuring and constant cleaning of measuring cups, bowls and spoons, just tare and weigh. Very happy most baking recipes now include gram measures, more accurate than cups and spoons, although the scale has those units of measure available as well. Thank you for a more enjoyable, faster and easier cookie season. Merry Christmas.

Handles larger weight bowls and

Handles larger weight bowls and performs very efficiently. Easy to clean. Doesn’t take up much counter space. I like the increased accuracy and consistency in measuring ingredients.

This scale is awesome. I

This scale is awesome. I even bought one for my daughter hoping she will get the bread baking “bug”. My mother died at age 84 without being able to share her baking skills with me. I had never felt like I needed to know how since she always came through with the “magic”. After her passing, I decided “by God, I owe it to her to learn”. She has been gone now 22 years. I am still what I consider to be a beginner, I hope she is looking down upon me and smiling.

Function and form!

This is my favorite kitchen scale ever! Yes, it’s style is lasting and elegant, and it has worked flawlessly for years now, with one easy battery change. (How many reviews are written years later?) The tare function is much easier than some I’ve used, the unit change toggle is easy, and the surface is super easy to clean. I stopped looking for better!
