Great addition to desk!

I bought this bookshelf to go with my Somerset stand-to-sit L-shaped desk. It matches perfectly and has plenty of capacity. It's shorter than other bookcases I have, but not in a bad way, just an observation.

Very sturdy, looks great

Finally after 8 months we got this bookshelf put together. It looks great and is very sturdy. It was also essy to put together. Now I just need to get my books unpacked.

Handsome, sturdy bookcase with good capacity

A sturdy, functional bookcase with decent capacity and adjustable shelves. Plus, it's quietly stylish. It will take some time to assemble, so make sure you set aside some dedicated time; yet, if you are reasonably adept with clear instructions, be patient and you'll be satisfied with the result. A second person can be helpful with certain assembly steps. I like mine so much that I ordered a second bookcase!

This bookshelf was so easy to put together. It took about 30 minutes. Looks awesome with the matching desk and hutch. Very sturdy and spacious for putting lots of things and keeping things organized. The shelves are nice and deep which I appreciate. Overall I love the nice, clean look for my husbands office. Great piece.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The only thing that I can say to compliment this piece is that the finish is lovely. Putting together this monster...heavy.....clumsy shelf it just one pain after another. The holes were not all drilled in correct places and one of the KD Cams did not fit into its hole. Unfortunately, it was the very last one that I tried to install. Tried to disassemble the piece to see if I could understand the problem only to find that once the screws are in place, they don't want to come out. Side pieces and bottom were not flush as they were meant to be. Took me the better part of a day to assemble with a trip to borrow a hacksaw because the only way to remove the screw was to saw it off.....then a trip to hdwre store to get a screw and bit so I could redrill the hole. A call to customer service was NO HELP AT ALL, but the person I talked to was very polite and friendly. It would be nice if they would add links that could be reached on line for those of us who do not have a smartphone to scan the tutorials. I am exhausted and I still don't have a useable shelving unit!

You have to assemble yourself

I bought this. I haven't received it yet. It's exactly what I want. But I'm going to cancel the transaction. Because there's no way I am going to spend the time to assemble this item and the two other large, matching office furniture items and get everything aligned. Plus there are a lot of really heavy pieces. That's just cheap customer service. I would go to IKEA, if I wanted to assemble my own furniture. I mean come on RC Willey, assemble the darned furniture. Good grief.

Instructions were a bit hard to read. The bookcase wasn’t what I expected. I was hoping a little bigger. It took about 3 - 4 hours to put together. The price a I think high for the product. Once I figured out how to put it together it was fine. Be careful not to over tighten or you can damage the product. Really need two people to put together.

Perfect Bookcase

I bought the complete Somerset office collection several years and have been very pleased with it. I was glad to know that the collection was still available and ordered another bookcase. Looks great and perfect for my home office. Easy to assemble with assistance. If the need should ever arise again, I would definitely repurchase.
