Nice headboard

We love this headboard, the color is a rich medium wood tone. I would have given it five stars but there was a very strong smell when it was unboxed. Left it out a few days but it did not go away. I put 3 coats of polyurethane on it which took care of the problem. It was easy to assemble and the height is adjustable. That’s important because mattresses and box springs come in varying heights. I did put a small piece of Styrofoam behind it for a little more stability. All in all a great headboard for the price!

Solid but not a home run

I wanted to like this so much - it was surprisingly hard to find a simple un-upholstered queen headboard in a color that would sort of match what we had. This ends up only kind of fitting the bill. I feel like it's a little darker in person than in the photos, and it's definitely not real wood (though I didn't expect it to be). Unfortunately the packaging was not quite sufficient enough to protect it from getting a little dented at the top, especially given that the faux-wood is soft. It's not super noticeable but it was kind of a bummer. I'd also recommend letting the parts air out for an hour or two so the smell of the stain and whatever else has time to dissipate. That said, the box includes hardware, including a standard and extra-long set of screws, and everything attached fine to my basic metal frame. The feet hover about an inch above the ground so as not to scratch your floors, I guess. Ultimately it looks fine and isn't too wiggly as long as the mattress is pushed up against the bottom of the board, so it's a good buy for the price, and certainly keeps our pillows from falling off the bed.
