Not As Described

The bed is beautiful BUT it is not velvet as the product description states-it is made of black linen-like material..very disappointing!

Got it in the gray. I have a bedspring so it is quite tall and hides a lot of the backboard. I didn’t realize it was a platform when I finally decided on the style. The dark gray is very nice and it is very soft. It seems solid and hasn’t broke after a couple months’ use. Except that ups broke a piece upon delivery. Came in two boxes and one was very heavy.

Really like this platform bed frame. The color is exactly as pictured. We have put three beds together, this was probably a 4 out of 10 difficulty of assembly. The set is heavy and comes shipped in two boxes, well packaged, no damage or issues. Overall the assembly diagrams were complete, but a bit confusing. It’s a bit heavy and bulky, so you need 2 people. The sides of the platform were each labeled with a left and right, that was strange and of no help to figure out how to attach them. I had a spring loaded Allen wrench from a previous piece of furniture and that came in very handy, as did a power drill. You need both. You will need a drill to affix the support slats to the platform sides. The slats are enough to support a mattress without a box spring. They are spaced close together, well within the guidelines of the manufacturers recommendation for our mattress. The bed with our 14 inch mattress does sit low so be aware if you like a higher mattress lay, you may need a box spring. However the back headboard is very tall which is what I wanted. The velvet fabric is pretty. For the price it looks very nice, not like a super expensive frame, but very nice.
