Some good, some bad

Pros: it's thick, beautiful, we'll-priced, and vibrant. No smell. The orange is more dominant than in the website photo. Cons: It sheds like crazy. We're vacuuming it daily and it fills the vacuum every time. If you like to sit on the floor, you're clothes will be covered in fibers. Also, the loops pull out very easily, so I wonder how quickly it will start to look shabby.

The rug is is so soft, well made and pretty colors! I bought 4 different sizes, same pattern to use for a large master bedroom and bath. Love every one of them. **Update after several months, these rugs shed like crazy and have become very laborious. One of them is on white marble and it's always got fuzz collecting at the edges. Hoping that wears itself out.

Favorite Rug!

Beautiful...love this rug! This rug is truly beautiful in design. The colors are lovely. It brightens one's mood as soon as you look at it. Adds so much to our space and is comfy and cozy. The weight of this rug is perfect. Everyone loves it and comments on it. We are totally pleased with both the quality, pattern, colors and thickness of this rug.

Safavieh rug is perfect

I had to return a rug from OS this week. It was my own fault, because I strayed from Safavieh, a brand that has never failed me. This rug looks amazing on a rich dark wood floor. Vibrant colors. I love that it's hand made. I can't photograph it because furniture all moved around and rug is half covered with Christmas decorations.

Love my two rugs

I bought two of those in different sizes. They look beautiful. Yes, they smell the first few days after unrolling, but the smell goes away, so no need to panic. I also have two other Safavieh rugs in high traffic areas of the house, and those are about 8-10 years old now. They still look great despite of cats and dogs that we have. I'm very pleased with the styles and quality of those rugs.

Great colors, poor construction

The rug looks good and the colors are nice as they coordinate with the rest of my home, but I am not happy with the construction. The loops are held in with some kind of glue that has a plaster look and feel - and when you step on one with a bare foot, you feel it. There are spots where it is noticeable, like it is missing a loop and there is now just glue. The loops are also on the larger side and quickly get squashed down from foot traffic. When trying to spot clean due to a pet accident, the orange and blue colors bled quite a bit, discoloring the ivory pool around it. Overall, the rug is just ok, not great but not the worst either for the price given that it is all wool. I would not purchase this style of looped rug ever again as it does not keep its thick feel past a few days. Less

Beautiful rug, delivered fast for a great price!

This rug is very beautiful, colors are more nuanced but vibrant in person. I love that the dark colors have 3 shades in the pattern which adds a lot of dimension. There was a slight odor to the rug which I think was latex but that faded with the windows open for a few hours. Some reviews complained of shedding and maybe that depends on care. I used the bare floor vacuum setting the first two days and didn't see much but there were some wooly lint blobs scattered everywhere the third day. Vacuuming with the carpet setting of a Shark Navigator Liftaway, the canister was completely full of blue fuzz and the carpet looked great. I hope that wasn't too harsh a cleaning but the rug nap lifted beautifully and it felt softer to my bare feet afterwards. I will keep using bare floor mode most but expect I'll need to use the carpet setting at times to clean up after our dogs. Our rug wasn't true to size, but it filled the space well and variation is part of the charm of a handmade product. The actual size was about 8' 6" x 12' 6". The rug is tightly woven with straight edges and didn't feel stretchy or limp when we placed it so this is of no concern to me. The rug was weighty enough to completely flatten within a few hours, needing only a few light gym weights on the edge curled around the shipping tube.
