Not As Pictured

I wanted to cover a backflow device in my front yard and even though this seemed costly, I ordered it based on the size. And I especially liked the way it looked in the pictures. It looks very realistic and shows variegated colors etc., which adds a level of realism that other covers don't offer. I received it yesterday and I was disappointed to see that there is zero color variation like the pictures seems to show. It is a solid color, kind of a reddish/sand color, and looks very plain. It also comes with cheap plastic hold down spikes. On the plus side, it does fit. If I had seen this displayed in the store, I'm not sure I would have paid that price.

This looks like a real rock and matches three boulders nearby. Real important is it fits over irrigation loop and the insulated bag. I installed three weeks ago. No issues. Only concern is how it will hold up in the winter. It’s 5,000 ft. elevation and we get 36” minimum snow per season. I may move it inside.

Looks good, pricey

Exact same shape as one I’ve had for 15 years but has some texturing that looks more natural and less like shiny plastic. Looks good. Downside is it’s expensive.

It took some time to determine the right (over) size to purchase due the irregular shape of these products. Once that was properly assessed and the product purchased, it fit over my unsightly wellhead and controls with room to spare! I will always wonder if a smaller one would have fit as the height of this was about 6 inches higher than required. Looks good and once I add some plantings it will blend with the balance of the yard without issues!

As for faux rocks, this is probably the best imitation I have seen. Great tan coloring with a granite like look. It did the job in covering the ugly green cable box directly at the front of my yard. I added a couple of real smaller rocks, mulch and planted a "Sloppy Painted Croton" and it looks great. I also plan on adding address numbers to the faux rock.

Not returnable, bad experience

If you order do not expect to be able to return. I bought to cover a stump and it didn’t fit well. My kids said it looked like a trash can. I was told to send back for refund but no label provided. When I tried at FedEx and UPS the shipping was over $160- I was shocked- it was more than I paid for the rock. The third party wouldn’t say anything else and I had to keep calling Walmart to fight for a refund.

Needed something to cover a bright green tv cable box. Love the shape and coloring. It is near a rock boulder wall so important that it was natural looking. Many compliment and think it is real. Landscaped with bluestem grasses in back and smaller perennials in front.

Perfect Replacement

This "Mock Rock" was to replace the one we had to cover our well pump. Hurricane Ian was rowdy enough to crack my other one in half. I think it was hit by flying debris! I'm actually surprised it was still there at all! This one fits perfectly & is nearly the same as what we lost. It didn't ship immediately but we had time to wait a little while. The debris will still be stacked up on the curb for a few months. Counting our blessings that we survived the worst Hurricane our SWFL coast has ever seen.

I have purchased Dekorra faux rocks for the last three homes. We are in a new home with electric and cable boxes in front yard. I would not consider any other product but Dekorra. . They look very natural, highlight your landscape design and are very weather tolerant. Although a bit pricier than other brands, I believe they are well worth the extra dollars.

Blends Right In

The Dekorra cover is just what we needed to cover our sprinkler back flow. It looks surprisingly real and fits right in with the rest of the boulders we have in our landscape. It has places to anchor it with stakes but we just put native rocks around it which helps it blend in and we've had extremely high winds the past week and it hasn't budged being right next to the house. Would definitely recommend.

I have purchased several faux rocks from Houzz. They are exceptionally handsome and real looking. They are true to both color and size as advertised. I looked at several other vendors before discovering Houzz sold them and their prices are far better than the others. Highly recommend this product. I will buy again. I love them.

Overall not a bad product, but overpriced for what it is. Could have a little more depth in the coloring. Does make a nice focal point to our landscaping. Now it will be a wait and see how well it holds up. The local bird population has found it to be an excellent toilet, but does wash off easily.

Light Rock Does Heavy Duty

This rock is being used to cover our outside filtration system up next to the house & patio. We chose the more brownish-reddish color to fit in with the rough cedar siding on that side of the house. The gray one offered would look better with lighter colored siding or with lighter stonework. This rock does not insulate the filter-pipes area, but keeps the direct sun off of them. During exceptionally colder weather, we've added inside of the rock a thermal blanket, but it fits tight. It is a big help in protecting the filtration pumps from being damaged by active kiddos.

[Rewarded Review] Realistic-looking

I had been looking for a well pump cover that looked realistic without breaking the bank. The well company said I would need a much larger cover than this, but I measured the well pump myself and gave this a try, because it cost much less than the larger ones, and it fits fine! Also, they said I needed an insulated cover, which costs several times the amount of this one, but another technician said I could buy spray insulation to apply on the inside of this for $4, and if it didn't quite fit the well, I could use a knife to trim the insulation! I'm so glad we went the less expensive route to get a good-looking, good-fitting "rock" that we could insulate ourselves!!!

Realistic and Blends Well

The large mock rock is very realistic and its size enables multiple uses. I bought two other smaller sizes to create a rock feature to hide plumbing for irrigation and hoses. I did have a concern that critters would be drawn to the open area underneath when it was seated in soil. I glued metal netting over the area to prevent or at least deter critters from wanting to use the space. This is a great option for renters who want to add beauty to the garden, yet not invest in another's property - take it with you when you move!. It is also a great option for older people, as it is easy to move around.

The price is reasonable, too.I was surprised to learn of the need to drill ventilation holes for it to cover a wellhead, as this was not indicated on website info. Not a big deal, but helpful to know. Also, for such a large unit, it would seem that more than 3 "feet" and places to stake it down might be good, and longer stakes as well, to keep it really secure and from blowing out of place. I don't know as we just installed it and have yet to experience a strong wind. For now and for an extra measure, I have placed flat, heavy stones on top of the staked "feet."
