Love the product but assembly was a nightmare!

I paid for assembly with my purchase thru Sam's Club. They use a company called Out of the Box Installation and that was the beginning of my nightmare. Twice, their tech did not show up for the appointment because he said they sent him to another "job" instead. The tech finally came out after a whole bunch of back & forth with me and Out of the Box. It was so much trouble that I don't have the time to list here. Bottom line - the Arcadia 9.5x12 gazebo looks great once up. I do wish it had a drip edge or gutter for the rain. If you pay for assembly thru Sam's, please ask for a different company to assemble. The reviews for Out of the Box Assembly are terrible & you better believe every single word!! If I could give them a thousand negative stars, I would. I wouldn't even want them to tie my shoe! Sam's Club & Backyard Discovery needs to stop using them immediately!!!

Stay away

Do not purchase from this manufacturer! We purchased this gazebo (unfortunately), and the screw holes did not line up. We contacted the manufacturer and all we got from them was useless communication. They just kept stating the holes did not line up because the unit was not square and level. I have remodeled four different homes plus have worked in the construction industry for years. I know how to use a square and level! STAY AWAY! Do not purchase! Thankfully I purchased from Lowe’s and will be returning for a refund and will be purchasing from a different manufacturer

Good quality!!

We were looking to build a gazebo to place on a concrete pad we already had. A local pergola/ gazebo company quoted us $12,000 to do pretty much this exact thing! We did it at 20% of the pergola business quote. We ordered the kit and constructed it ourselves. My wife and I are both retired (we’re not young) and took our time and it took us about 2 1/2 days. We had help from 1 friend to help stand up the main frame and connect it. The rest we did ourselves. It is good quality, heavy and strong! Only had a couple small problems installing long screws but with a little thinking and opening a couple of the holes it went together great! Definitely follow the instructions and watch the video of assembly several times! We still have plans to finish it out even more. We love it!

Almost perfect

The directions were great overall, and every part was very clearly labeled. When you begin to question orientation, the Bilt app is very helpful. The quality, overall, is great. Like many others, I fail to understand why the main joists are not one solid piece. The other fail is the anchoring. The crappy concrete screws should have at least come with a masonry bit to match. I say all of this not to stop you from buying it. You should. It’s a great quality product. It’s so great in every other way that it makes you question why those two things were misses. I am extremely happy with the result. It’s beautiful. Just make sure you buy some 3/8” red heads for concrete anchoring. If you mount fans, like I did, make sure you add some additional structural support. You can buy cedar 2x4s at Lowe’s with some black metal L-brackets, and it looks like factory. Above all, have 1 helper available the whole install, and during the raising of the structure, you need two helpers.

Backyard Discovery is the way to go!

To complete my family's backyard transformation, we wanted to include a gazebo over our hot tub. After researching many different gazebo kits, we decided to team up with Backyard Discovery. We live in Northeast Ohio and get variety of weather. We were sold on this gazebo as it is PRO-TECT certified to withstand winds up to 100 MPH and 3,500 pounds of snow! Additionally, it came with a 5-year warranty and a power port so we could plug in our decorative lighting and eventually a small outdoor T.V. The Gazebo arrive quickly and well packaged. Assembly took us about 2 days, and we had 3 adults working on the project. The parts were well labeled, and the instructions were amazing!! Backyard Discovery not only provides normal paper instructions but, they utilize the BILT App which gives you 3D instructions as well as reads them aloud. The App also gives tips, tricks, and cautions during assembly. This was my first time using the BILT App and I am impressed. The assembled gazebo is very sturdy and is simply beautiful. Thank you, Back Yard Discovery, for providing the perfect final addition to complete our backyard paradise!!
