Bed is very sturdy and well made.I didn't give it 5 stars only because the directions were hard to follow,would be easier with written instructions step by step AND the diagrams.It took 2 1/2 hrs to set up a full size bed.And some of the slats were very warped.All in all,I love the bed

Deserves zero stars! Not sure if Overstock is selling new items or new "defective" items that manufacturers give them at a discounted price. I spoke to Overstock customer service prior to buying this to make sure this was a brand new item and not "damaged goods". I was told this was new. This was the cheapest price I could find and I regret not spending the extra money. This had so many issues that I don't even know where to start. The pieces didn't have holes aligned properly, which we didn't realize until after attaching the pieces -- then we had to take everything apart and create new holes to properly align pieces. Some of the pieces had dark spots which I couldn't wipe clean. The headboard top piece doesn't sit flush on the left side because the holes were't placed properly (again!). And the headboard panels don't match each other. What should've taken 2-3 hours to put together for 2 people ended up taking 6 hours because we had to keep taking pieces apart and try to correct the mistakes made by the manufacturer. When you're in the process of moving, you don't have time to waste. Not to mention, this was exhausting and frustrating to put together. Missing screws. Headboard looks crooked. Our new King mattress barely fits. If it wasn't so heavy to put back, take it all down to the 1st floor and return, I would've returned it. I'm very upset with this purchase and will never buy furniture from Overstock again! They should've labeled this "damaged goods" or "will need fixing" intead of lying and saying it's new! UGH! I guess you get what you pay for. Less

This bed is a BEAST to put together but the instructions are very easy to follow. Definitely a 2, sometimes 3, person project. Once it's finished, it's nice and sturdy. No noises or squeaking(yet lol). I gave 4 stars because I noticed chips here and there in the colored pieces but nothing that noticeable. Also, the 24-26 boards you have to drill into the base was a task and some screws did not drill all the way through. Nonetheless, we're satisfied with this buy.

Had to return it...bottom of one of the legs was a different color than the other 3. Otherwise, decent enough looking

From Brazil with love

So happy with this purchase. The bed is made in Brazil of solid wood, no MDF here. We definitely got our money's worth. The barnwood has a whitewash and is distressed and rugged looking. Sure to last for many years.

Beautiful bed, high quality, strong solid wood!

This bed is beautiful! It's solid wood which I was looking for because I did not want manufactured materials. It does have a lacquer on it that needs some airing out after it's put together. I specifically needed a platform bed that met the specs for keeping a warranty on a TempurPedic mattress. It has the required width and distance between slats plus the center supports. It came with extra parts and the assembly instructions are mostly clear. However, it took 3 people and 3 hours to put it together because it came in many, many pieces unassembled. So, be prepared and make sure you have a power screwdriver! With that being said it is made with high quality workmanship.

Looks amazing. Put together very easily by myself. Only complaint.., finish chips easily so there is some concern over chipping with time. Very sturdy bed. Great value for the price.

Its a great bed took just about 2 hours to assemble one small hiccup that was easily resolved an dthat was we installed brackets in predilled holes the boatd nweded to be installed the opposite way we did it

Defective, dangerous, unusable bed received.

Warped frame + slats, flimsy hardware. Unstable, unsafe + dangerous. This bed will give out at any second. Even w/ the fix I did, it will only hold up for a few wks at best. Won't support a decent mattress. H Depot only offered 20% discount, Lost $300+

It was easy to assemble and was delivered on time. The product has a strong smell. It has been outside for several days and it still smells.
