Missing parts-brand new in box

When opening this on our Christmas morning, it's incomplete. You can't put the house together due to missing pieces and when I contacted customer support for Mattel was the only thing they could do was to ship replacement parts that we are missing and that it would take 14 days.. you tell that to a four-year-old who just opened a Barbie house on Christmas morning that they have to look at the Barbie house they can't play with for 14 days. The level of disappointment is at an all-time high. Not to mention Walmart doesn’t want to take it back because “it’s now missing parts” so now we have no option but to wait for replacement parts. I find this whole situation appalling.

Warning! Original box ruined Christmas.

Christmas is ruined. Ships in ORIGINAL box with pink Barbie Dreamhouse label on the side. My kids were outside playing when this was delivered. I’m so upset. Shame on Walmart and the FedEx driver who walked right past my kids with this box without any effort to conceal it. This was supposed to be the big gift this year. There was no warning on the order page or option for discrete packaging.

Impressive

My daughter (and the child inside me) really enjoy this Barbie house. It is massive! It would be helpful to measure and plan out where you will place it before you purchase it. I bought this for a Santa gift and it took a considerable amount of time to put it together. It was jumbled in the box and the directions were easy, but there were so many pieces that it made assembly a little more difficult. The construction is pretty solid as my toddler has climbed on the house and it has not bent, swayed, or broken. I felt like a kid looking at all of the neat little aspects and features! Your child can play with it from any angle. I think the interior is the part that most people think of and see but the actual front side of the house is so cute! The elevator is super cool, but it can be a little finicky. My daughter occasionally has to ask for help to get it back on track. The slide has one joint that pops apart frequently when she uses it. Really those are the only issues. The Barbie house will probably outlast her interest in playing with Barbie’s and still be decent enough to pass on to another child.

Best Birthday Present!

This Barbie Dream house has everything! I love the new details, toilet actually flushes, oven has a light and a timer that goes off when the food is "ready". The stove has boiling water sounds as if food is cooking. These little added touches definitely make for imaginary play feel life like. My son (age 3) and my daughter (age 5) play together and it's nice to have a toy they share and bond over versus fight over.

Fun house, easy assembly

This is the best Barbie house yet! My kids absolutely love it, and the assembly was surprisingly simple, considering how big it is. I got my first Barbie house as a young girl, so it’s been special to share this experience with my own kids. It’s already given us hours of fun, and I’m sure there are many more to come. Overall, I’m really pleased with the house, how easy it was to put together, and the joy it’s brought us.

Walmart going above and beyond for their customers

This isn't a review of the Barbie Dream House purchased, as it will not be opened until Christmas. This is a review of Walmart and their shipping department. I can not begin to say how much I appreciate the extra care of hiding the packaging. The little girl who is to receive the Dream House for Christmas was home for fall break, and like a fool, I forgot to ask for gift packaging to hide what was inside. Walmart did me a solid by placing the Dream House box inside a Walmart box and placing another box on top as the Dream House was too tall for the first Walmart box. I am very grateful!

Worth it

The coolest dream house I’ve ever seen. At almost 30, I’m wildly impressed and jealous of my 6 year old. It’s so neat! The attention to detail and little neat traits it has - like an oven light, stovetop sounds, functional doors, toilet sound, a whole elevator! Very cool.

MISSING PIECE

Bought this on July 19th, 2024 for my daughter’s 6th birthday. She loved it we put it together together, everything was fine until we noticed there was no platform for the wheelchair elevator, so the elevator couldn’t be assembled or put on the side of the house. It wasn’t complete and my daughter was really looking forward to enjoying her BDH. Reached out to customer service still haven’t received a reply. For a 200 dollar product there should be NO missing pierces let alone NO reply from a reputable and known company such as Mattel. I am disappointed.

A very late Christmas present because of screw ups

Again another problem with the tile boy that cost $200 at the time I went in $100 with a friend and she put in 100 is supposed to be oh about 5 feet tall. It is not in the box we got and we put aside, we tried to buy in the store and we would’ve gotten rewards on my card because I’ve had it for three years, they said no you couldn’t buy it in the store for that cheaper price because it was originally 60 something so they put it behind the desk when we came back to pick it up the next morning they switched it out with another one that the box was open was missing parts. We had to go back to the toy department and get the one that we picked out that was not open, and they put the other dollhouse back out on the floor so some poor sucker got a dollhouse parts in it and the box was ripped open and it was the last two there got it. We put it together and it’s shorter than what it said and we also have the dollhouse which is taller. It is true to size I would recommend lol and just let them Play with the lol it’s huge is beautiful and it cost less money than the Barbie Dreamhouse now she wants the smaller one and I won’t buy it for her birthday. I have gotten ripped off and gotten a promo code for $15. Whoopty do it takes all this time to get the money back into my checking account or my card my Walmart card when they don’t get it right And then I can’t replace and buy something that’s in the store right there and get my rewards until they put it back on my card which takes 10 days but it takes them two minutes to take it off your card and pay for it. it’s a rip off and I’m supposed to be getting a discount on my Walmart plus it’s supposed to be 699 a month Because I am EBT for those you don’t know if you have a Walmart plus and you have EBT or your own government assistant program and you let them know and you fill it in on the app. It’s only 699 and you don’t have to pay $35 and you don’t have to pay for the delivery. It’s in Home and you can get Paramount but if you pay the 1295 if you don’t pay for at least $35 you get charged another 699 and they haven’t been delivering properly at least not up here I’m in Massachusetts And when they break things, they don’t bring it back and bring it back to you like they say the drivers leave it with you and then you asked to bring it back that is terrible customer service I’m going to Amazon. It will be $6.99 and have it delivered and I can wait one day.

Cheaply made

Bought for daughter’s 6th birthday. For almost $200, I feel as though it is cheaply made and it doesn’t hold up good at all. The elevator is awful and barely works and every-time she moves it up or down have to be careful that it doesn’t break and that everything else in the house doesn’t fall over. The whole thing isn't sturdy. I don’t know why toys from 15 to 20 years ago were made so much better. Especially the Barbie toys and Barbie houses now that are crap in my opinion.

Barbie Dreamhouse extraordinary a dream for hours of fun.

The Barbie Dreamhouse brought so much joy to our granddaughter. I would have given it a 5 star but only one item did not work as shown on the box and that was the toilet. It was to make a flushing sound when the button on top was pushed, and it did not. There are no mechanical pieces inside of it nor did it sit on anything that the button would activate. I'm hoping I can replace this piece and find it separately. Other than that, extremely satisified.

My honest opinion

Very disappointed. We’ve purchased every Barbie house to come out. This one by far is the worst. Very disappointed in the quality and design of this compared to the others. I’d like to point out there aren’t floors on bottom level. Just odd cut outs in between each room where floor should be. The furniture.. no couch, the bed is tiny and just overall strange design. Compared to the others this one just isn’t it. I think it’s pricey for what you get and quality.

Perfect

Big, easy/quick assembly, sturdy/good quality. You have to put all the stickers on and put the pieces together-doesn’t come pre-assembled. I also got the giant LOL cutie house and compared to that, this thing is a piece of cake to put together! Took me about 30 min probably. The tables have little raised holes that hold drinks and food plates and stuff which is cool. I’d definitely recommend

Santa vs parents

This gift was from “Santa” as requested by my 5 year old. She insisted she wanted a Barbie dreamhouse and that was just what she got as it resembles the house in the Barbie movie. It took about 2 to 3 hours to put together as there are lots of little details. The dollhouse is tall but not as tall as the more affordable Walmart rendition that my other daughter received 5 or 6 years ago. In comparison, that dollhouse came with a winding staircase and an elevator Barbie could stand in. In the Barbie dollhouse no real stairs are part of the dollhouse but it does have a a pretty big elevator and a slide that goes from the top of the structure down to the pool. This was not my favorite dollhouse we have ever bought for my girls, but the smile on my daughter’s face and the excitement opening the gift was partly worth the cost. SN: My daughter played with this dollhouse good for about 2 weeks and ain’t really looked back it. SMH

Barbie dream house

This toy is like a Barbie mansion. We got it for our 2 year old so she doesn’t get to enjoy the full potential of it, but she loves it. It has bathroom’s, bedrooms, a shower, an elevator, kitchens a huge slide with a pool you can use real water in. There are so many life like things about this doll house that I want to play with it. Our little girl was so excited when some seen it on Christmas morning. I am glad we got it on sale. I can’t even remember everything it came with. Not the greatest pictures of what it really is because we had to put away a lot of the pieces.

I love barbie dolls. The girl loves to play with them. The quality of the dolls and houses is very good. The packaging and price are very attractive for buyers. We always buy Barbie. Quality and safe materials ensure long-lasting use of these items. children's safety comes first. The versatility of the Cool dolls, the children are very happy

Barbie Dreams!

We purchased the Dream House online for our Godchildren-Cairee %26 Mylah, two avid young Barbie fans. From the moment the box arrived we were excited! It was much bigger than we imagined and full of special touches! A flushing toilet, a working elevator, a swirling water slide into the pool, and it comes with all the furnishings! All eight of their Barbies moved into absolute Barbie perfection!!! We love❤️it!

Daughter loves it but pool makes a huge mess

Got this for my daughter (5) for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. Spends forever hanging up her dolls clothes (saved the little hangers off the tops of her doll clothes bags for extras) and setting up little dinner scenarios with her dolls. Her favorite part is the pool/slide. I really think it could be just a 3 story slide and pool and shed be just as happy.

Easy to build

It's pretty straightforward to put together; no wrong pieces snap together. Stickers are a little tedious to put on. But can disassemble and reassemble as necessary to move room to room. The elevator might cause some impatience in little ones, but this is a well thought out house that accommodates all abilities of Barbie-kind, as well as for Barbie's pets. (I have not installed the batteries......shhhhhhhh!) I put together by myself Christmas Eve! ❤️ 😍
