Very good desk, could be a bit better

The design is nice, although I would have appreciated the L shape part of the desk to be deeper than 19”. I did not realize how shallow this is until the desk was assembled. I think desks like this should have at least 23” depth. Otherwise, it’s a very nice desk and I’m happy I bought it.

Terrible desk, very bad quality, very difficult assembly instructions

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this desk. The quality is very bad, the instructions were difficult to follow, and the desk doesn't fit together. If I could return this product I would. Unfortunately, I am stuck with a very bad desk that cost a lot of money. Here is everything wrong.

Okay, but had issues

Overall, the build quality was okay - the main desk top is excellent (love it!), but unfortunately I found the hutch and desk drawers to be sub-par. The laminate on the hutch feels so thin that I'm concerned washing it with a damp cloth would remove it.

I love this desk. The end piece without the hutch can act as a standalone separate desk so really it can be a a 2-in-1. I personally only set up the L-shaped portion in my office and set up the other desk in another part of the house. Although it’s particle board it’s made sturdy and there’s a lot of room to move around. My 150 lb mastiff will sometimes go underneath this desk and lay down if that gives you any idea how much space there is under there.

Looks great when done, but construction techniques are subpar.

The only reason this is not a 2 Star review is because the desk does look good once done. However, the construction techniques are inadequate in my opinion. I have ordered desks before with this type of construction, but they used better quality construction items. The green end that are supposed to expand when tightened did not do so. The tops popped off quite easily and had several pieces come apart when moving into place. Many pieces had to be drilled and put together with screws to make more solid. Overall, these desk are great when in place and quite functional. However, there is no way I would be able to move these desk again any distance without damaging them further.

U shaped desk

The look is great, the quality is beyond awful, the drill holes are too small, the instructions are incorrect, nothing lines up, its heavy as heck, 3 people needed, takes a good 8 hours to assemble and make sure you buy your own screws as the screws supplied strip the unit. Must be very cheap or something as the screws release, I opened the shelf and the metal hinges bent and the drawer was in my hand. Nothing lines up or even closes properly. I hear constant creeks, just waiting for it to dismantle in my lap. Don't waste your time or money. i've never left a negative review but this is truly not a well thought out product and the instructions on assembly are terrible once you get to the halfway point, where disassembly and return are a forgone thought. At 350lbs its not realistic to take it apart and return it. Absolutely terrible, wish we never bought it even if it looks nice, can't see this staying together for all that much longer then a year.

nice looking and functional, but terrible quality

parts of this desk are literally the equivalent to cardboard. its a beautiful desk, i love the look and functionality of it but i know it will not stand the test of time, which is a true shame. we had to make new screw holes in places because it didn't line up, the screw covers don't go on well and a piece was damaged when we received it. there is no way the L shaped part of this desk will be moved without damage as my husband and i accidentally damaged a piece of the upper cabinet just assembling it, and i'm a totally weekling, we just held it in the wrong place. it had the potential to be great. :(

I ordered a white and chocolate desk and ended up getting this gray desk. I kept the desk because it was so heavy and I needed a desk asap, I complained of course. But in overall the desk is very nice, If you decide to assemble it yourself its challenging you need 2 people at least. Im pretty happy with it, it looks very nice. I had to change my office design a little because of the color change but it worked anyways. Also, I needed a desk that doesnt block my air heating vent so, with this desk I was able to place it against the wall and it doesnt block it. One tip Do not use a drill for the small screws. It will loose the strength of the hole and the piece of wood will come off.

So this desk was a pain but not as much of a pain as I thought it would be. I had a friend watch my kids and I got ready with a power drill to do it on my own. It ended up taking me two days and help from my friend to get it complete. We got the bones done the first day and the second day was the drawers. I used my power drill and wood glue to make sure everything was secure. I also installed brackets to make sure the hutch stays on since we have 3 littles. My husband loves his home office desk and I for sure think for the price it was a good deal. I especially like the fact that it has a built in plug so my husband doesn’t have to run a million extension cords.
